5.5 years? Can anyone explain the logic behind?
-
I really wonder anyone other than idiot or gambler will take this offer.
-
Exactly. What a businessman cares ultimately is money. If you have to force him out of the club, you have to stop giving money to the club. The situation is totally different from 2 years ago. At that time we were afraid of relegation and feared that we cannot bounce back afterwards. Now it's even worse - this bastard will just continue to ruin our club even if we bounce back to the EPL, till the day he sold his shares. I'd rather relegate once more in order to get rid of this bastard.

I bet Ashley definitely don't know this decision is that "shocking". The decision is already fucking insane. What's even worse is with such kinda dismissal I cannot see anyone, really, i mean anyone including Mourinho, that can handle the job leftover well. The situation is pretty obvious: 1. Ashley is very willing to sell the club for a high price (that's why Hughton was sacked - he thinks Hughton's style will not enhance the club's value and cannot attract big offers) 2. As a result of pt 1, it is impossible for him to spend money for transfer (unless the situation goes too bad and then some fucking panic buying at 31 Jan again) 3. As a result of pt 1, the new manager's job is very insecure as well as it depends on whether the club will be taken over 4. Fucking shit team morale 5. Close relationship between Barton, Carroll and Hughton makes them very difficult to accept the decision and their form will definitely be affected Relegation is a must, sadly. No one at the club deserves this ending, except those 2 fucking moron arrogant bastards.

Just a short question, where does Mike Ashley live?
-
Any proven manager left their post after WC 2010?
-
Sky is the limit.
-
The only logical reason is Ashley is not willing to pay what Hughton ask for --- probably he thinks by paying that kind of wages he should "find someone better". In that case, the sooner to get rid of CH, the better, as the new manager could have a Jan transfer window and half a season to get used to the squad. The assumption behind is Ashley is 100% sure we will not relegate this season and thus take a gamble. Fxxk off Ashley, you cannot get a good manager by acting so disrespectful to CH now. We will really get relegated. Jesus fucking Christ.
-
I can see him leaving at Jan tbh. All the Big4 clubs wouldn't mind making a 15m offer and obviously Ashley is daft enough to accept it.
-
Thanks Chris. You are a legend. You have saved us once from limbo and rebuild a great foundation by getting in some decent players and develop Carroll. You simply do not deserve this ending. Whenever you visit St James Park in the future (except as a mackem), you will always hear the chant that belongs to you.

When the "correct" thing is done at an "incorrect" timing, how could that be a correct decision?
-
My thought as well.
-
I don't think there's someone lined up. It's Ashley man. Something must have happened. This is purely insane.
-
Alrite, alrite, alrite, someone plz go to assasin Ashley. This is way way way over the limit.
-
And the key question is, who will come to be our manager under Ashley? JFK again?
-
Well looking at the fixtures and the likely position we are in at the end of Dec, it's hardly a surprise. That said, if we really sack CH, we fully deserve to go down again.
-
Here we go again.
-
What happened to Guthrie Jesus, that's even worse than his first appearance for us 3 years ago!
-
Shola is a better partner for Carroll than Nolan in terms of creating chances to score. However to us it is the opposite - Nolan / Carroll partnership is more effective in scoring for the team.

Campbell is gone at the end of the season, and Kadar is totally unproven. That "new striker" money would be needer for a defender to replace Taylor. So you're looking at either a sub-standard cheap replacement (see Kadar, Perch, Simpson, R.Taylor), or a cheap new striker (see Lovenkrands, Best). I'd rather just tie the player down to a new contract and put all our funds into strengthening the first team. I'm sceptical about these wage demands, the club seem to have a brinkmanship and cavalier way of dealing which may pocket a few pennies but doesn't always put the club's interests first. Transfer listing Taylor was a perfect example, all outsiders thought it was strange and if anything lowers the value of the player. Really how often do you see clubs doing that? On the other hand, such kinda "do or die" policy is essential in making our deals a lot more sensible then before. Tiote and HBA would probably cost a double. I believe lots of ppl here will agree transfer-listing Taylor in order to force him signing a reasonable contract, even if resulting losing him, is better than signing a 40k + ppw contract with him. He's just a "capable" EPL defender and is no where near international standard, has been causing several troubles to the team and is not a club icon when he thinks he is. To me the risk is worth-taking, not for you I know.

Not really a good news. Sounds like Celtic has a chance to make the loan deal permanent. Or else they shouldn't turn down the chance to sign Given.
-
Ashley isn't that bad in doing the transfer. The problem was that he usually relies on the wrong person (i.e. Xisco). The transfer under the reign of Hughton is very impressive. HBA, Williamson and Tiote are great bargain, while Routledge did contribute a lot last year.

Cannot blame any parties there. The club has to protect its own assets. The FA desperately need a powerful striker to lead the line and to prevent Carroll from changing his mind and play for Scotland. Carroll has hoped for the debut for too long and he's willing to take the risk. We can only pray for no further injuries then.
