My guess would be Comolli foresee that the price for British prospects would only go further up once the local player rule comes to effect for Europe matches, and thus he decide to take a heavy gamble on those young prospects now, hoping that some of team could reach Gerrard's class and become priceless asset. Backfired because this generation of youngsters are just too shit. Fergie snapped up the best one (Phil Jones) and the others are just nothing but hype.

Ffs, only boo at ft after fail to win 6 in a row?
-
Blackburn. May be because HBA shows like it's "relatively easy" to score that today.
-
He officially earns the right to do everything on his own.

Legendary goal, this

What a ridiculous save Tim
-
We should put Shola on
-
That is a waste, Ba
-
We look knackered already
-
We need santon to break them down
-
I can understand the decision - fatigue can easily lead to injury, and to be honest we should beat them even without HBA.
-
What's that "ridiculous" is that this HBA is even better than the one in France.

He was very slow from 1998 onwards, though, and still went on to have 4 very good seasons in front of goal. He did lose his pace after that injury, but was still enough to be a poacher. He walked like handicapped during his last 2 seasons. Anyway, just like Dave said, WFC now.
-
I think Shearer didn't lose that. He was just too slow to get into the position he wants.

 You mix Thai, Korean and Chinese up?
-
It is NOT easy. Bolton are fighting for their next season as well.
-
They deserve it. Man city just amazingly poor. Amazingly,

He is a good option from the bench, especially when we need to chase a goal. Acceptable if it's below 10m and 60k wages. Though possibly we could find a better option elsewhere.
-
True, but I do want to give Tavernier a run out since his contract is expiring soon. At least a sub from the bench would do me.
-
Same team except Raylor for Tiote. Or play Perch there, Simpson as CB and give a chance to Tavernier.

I don't think our style has changed that much to be honest. I would say it's due to better formation instead. Pardew is still playing the very direct approach, but instead of hoofing the ball, we can now counter the opponents in a much quicker way since we have HBA on the right and Cabaye as the controller upfront. We still cannot keep our possession well when we are under pressure. No intention to lit up the argument again, since in my opinion both sides got some right and some wrong there. I can understand why sick2 makes those comments though since some of the posters here are really very impatient at that time, criticize Pardew heavily despite we are already 6th in the table after a more than decent first half run. As I have said before, we should have more faith on our gaffer. However, this time it's me who are raising concern now, ironically. This 4-5-1 (or 4-3-3) is the key of our success for the last 2 matches, but it requires both our RW (HBA) and LW (Ba) to works their socks off, defending very deep to protect our full backs and run at full pace during counter. That is f***ing demanding. Ba looks knackered already at 60 mins and I am very very surprised that HBA is able to play the full match. I ain't sure what will happen on Monday, and any injuries or exhaustion to Ba or HBA will make this formation much less effective. We badly need backups for them now but both Marveaux and Obertan are injured. We do need some luck.
