Liverpool will only submit bid next year when his contract is only one year left, and he refuse to extend. They never make such kinda bid under FSG
-
then did Arsenal buy so-called established English internationals at their peak value, or go for unearthed gems like Saliba and Gabriel a few years ago? I understand the desperation and frustration but to say the club should increase the bid genuinely speaking, is fucking insane. For that price we basically gambled all our fortunes on him to be VVD, and I can’t imagine what if he failed to fit in or get a lengthy injury. the only club that did this kind of deals, being a laughing stock, is Man Utd, e.g. Antony and Sancho. They all got lots of reasons to justify the ridiculous bid, and see what happens? Another question is, if that’s the way to go, then why hire Mitchell? He won’t have money left to buy so-called unearthed gems anyway. All eggs in Guehi.
-
I start to think Guehi would be as good as Van Dijk and lead us to champions, base on the comments here. If that’s the case just pay whatever Palace wants And then what if he isn’t?
-
Daily Mail & Guardian: Crystal Palace has REJECTED Newcastle's third bid for Marc Guehi, thought to be around £55m.
-
The quality of work since Ashworth on leave has been massively disappointing. just to clarify, they are right to walk away from this deal but they should have other targets in place and complete the deal much earlier than now. Howe won’t be happy for this, if not being furious
-
If City is in for Eze then they should turn down our offer. At this rate they are just heading to championship at full speed
-
I agree with that. Palace may try to offer him a new contract though. If he agreed to extend his contract then Palace won’t sell.
-
A huge lot of people was saying this back in April that we must spend over 100m this summer to massively improve 3-4 starting positions. Guehi won’t be our record signing. No chance. No way we offer over 70m euro for Guehi.
-
not really. If Guehi last bid is rejected we might really go for RW (Mbeumo) instead. I think we are able to spend a big one this window.
-
Pretty sure this is the last bid.
-
I just wonder why you guys keep on hyping on Madueke. He is considered not good enough and should be sold asap from Chelsea fans last season. It may worth to take a gamble but I genuinely don’t think that’s a good take
-
They are willing to listen offers for half of their squad, just a matter of $. They asked too much for Gallagher and finally just cut priced to Athletico. We probably need to wait till next summer.
-
just wonder what’s his position? I hope not all of them are playing CM role
-
Someone said his style is he won’t drag on and simply move to other target
-
I will put it the other way round If we are able to move Pope, Burn, Trippier, Lewis, Targett, Wilson and Almiron, we can spend big on a new RW I agree.
-
We might as well just give Sanusi a chance. He deserves a run and worth to invest
-
Pretty sure if we sign Guehi for 60m, we won’t get another RW this window. Yea we might be able to spend 10-20m more but these figures won’t get you a starting RW who is better than Almiron. In that case we better just continue with Almiron for one more season
-
Come back next Jun. I think you are right but sanity is not welcomed at this moment, when most of the people just want a marque signing to improve the team in a short run This is a huge gamble, like it or not
-
Ah I finally remembered that geordie Robbie Elliott
-
I honestly don’t think it worths the price. 60m for a good CB, but not world class, is really expensive. Better than nothing of course. Just under the PSR limitation I hope we go for better options (if any)
-
He needs a huge lot of training to be effective for us. Control your expectation for this season. His vision is simply not good enough and he will make lots of bad decisions. He is really the one for the future.
-
believe it or don’t, transfermarkt just updated the fees from “?” to “23.6m euro”
-
Why would he become a free agent, and refused to extend his contract with his former club, in the first place? He is obviously asking for a salary that is only possible if it’s free transfer, which Bournemouth would not accept. They are professionals that always rank $ as their top priority, just like Yoro. You are talking sense, if it’s a normal transfer. This isn’t.
