Howe’s attacking tactics needs a very attacking full back to provide overlap threat for the wingers. Where are Tino and Hall? That’s the answer you need.

I think you guys get it a little bit wrong re Anderson. Yea say if we bought him back he would certainly play Big Joes position, but where he is currently excelled at is actually the BG role. In fact I think part of the reason of his outbreak is his time at Newcastle where he learnt from BG during daily training. I know it’s a long stretch but it’s kinda similar to what happened to Pirlo from Inter to AC Milan. It’s basically a new role for a midfielder who was believed to be good at attacking role only.

Given his mental strength this is probably the best method Gordon can adopt. Obviously Gordon is the first choice kicker mainly due to squad seniority. I believe Nick would be promoted to first choice a few months later.

I think tactically Howe has been ok this season so far. But he deserves huge credit for fitting in the new players. It’s never an easy job, look at the scousers.

I have seen his games at Milan, and I totally understand why they have had such opinion. Not to take away any credit from Thiaw, but I think it’s just how good Howe is able to fit him into our defence system. Howe deserves most credit to me. Extremely glad how it turns out btw. We have been shouting for Schars successor for long and Thiaw looks like a fucking bargain
