  1. Brilliant transfer of that third choice keeper really just cost us 5m.
  2. Not sure it’s Man Utd who cannot pay the compensation before the deadline, or Man Utd trying to exploit Newcastles PSR issues.
  3. did you really read my posts? I said we have no choice but I feel sad we don’t have a buy back clause. Is that a complain?
  4. It doesn’t matter. Attributes like pace and acceleration, his style of dribbling, number of touches, vision, ability to pick up teammates run while dribbling etc would apply to any league. He also got a great left foot which doesn’t require much space to hit a powerful shot. Antony’s clip at the Dutch League shows the opposite. Even though he was toying opponents, he didn’t outpace opponents regularly - which becomes his biggest weakness now and makes him one of the worst transfer in history.
  5. other than the 105m loss requirement, is there also a total spending cap as a % of revenue requirement that we need to comply with?
  6. I know I might be the minority, but from the clips I saw, I think Minteh has world class potential. He has the tools required to start for any team in the future, he just need playing time to iron it out. We have no choice, but I really wish we could insert a clause, even if it’s something like 70m.
  7. Bro, just want to know how to calculate that 2m profit requirement? I think most of us would want to know what’s the requirement for next season, especially when we are out of Europe

Then add one more club to join the party, just like how NBA teams are doing. Three / four team trade. Love it.
  9. If we have the capacity under FFP to back him heavily, we won’t be doing these deals
  10. A Forest fan would think the same if they really paid Anderson for 35m, absolute robbery. May not be 25m but I am pretty sure it’s an insane amount for a third choice keeper. Or else the whole story doesn’t make sense. Why would Forest bail out Newcastle during the last moment by overpaying Anderson?
  11. to be honest I feel upset when I see we are paying 25m for Forest third choice keeper
  12. Someone fucked it up but as TCD mentioned we got an OK plan B escape route. That’s probably enough to end the matter at this moment Next summer, however…God knows

Wow. If the 25m is real, it’s just a middle finger against the FFP rule. I kinda love it
  14. Now I expect we would buy Elanga for something like 50m, or MGW for 80m.
  15. I am afraid it’s probably too late to stay out. I could see them facing legal actions even if they call it off now.
  16. Even AV fucked it up as well, the Luiz sales obviously not part of their original plan. Why don’t just admit our management fucked it up as well? Some people here really can’t accept those that they like (the management/Howe etc) would make any error.
  17. We need fire sale at the deadline, with two bad deals (Minteh likely without buy back clause, Anderson few too fucking low). Its clearly a fuck up.
  18. Sounds like there won’t be a buy back clause

To be honest I do prefer to sell Bruno to Man City. That’s probably a win win for both the club and the player.
  20. Aye, not in Europe probably affecting us for the coming season, not this June 30 deadline. For the June 30 one, I think it’s more about miscalculation, or put it in other words, the EPL clubs realized that the EPL own FFP rules are much more strict than what they thought, after the Everton point deduction. We aren’t the only one that “suddenly caught into trouble”, Man Utd and Villa as well. I won’t particularly blame the management for this, I think it’s the EPL rules being poorly written that’s the cause.
  21. I think it’s pretty obvious that we are operating extremely close to the red line, and we are expecting a minimum Top 7 finish that our budget includes Europe competition income. So no Europe = breaching the FFP/PSR. It isn’t that hard to figure it out I think. We even have deferred Halls transfer to this summer.

The only positive from these news I can take is, no more “the club has to be spend big in the summer, make a squad overhaul and give Howe a better team” non-sense. We are obviously in deep shit under FFP

    200m. Not a penny less.
  24. As long as we got a buy back clause, and this sales can help us to get through those bullshit regulations, then I am fine with that. No excuse not to add a buy back clause imo.
