To be fair, I do think everyone involved, including Howe and Botman himself, have to be responsible for this. And, I even don’t have the mood to play the blame game. This is fucking disastrous. Originally we just need one more top class CB and our defence for the next few years are kinda sorted. And now we probably need to spend most of our summer budget on TWO new CB. LB / DM / RW / ST …. We need reinforcements but yea now I think we just don’t have the money now. We are really doomed. That’s what I worried most - permanent damage to our squad due to injuries, and it finally comes true.

I mean, it’s actually very fortunate that a player can fully recover from any injury. Just think if Botman cannot back to his best (pre injury) and keep on like this. We should have a very solid CB who can be our centrepiece for the next 10 years. The injury might have ruined it already. Its just regular league match FFS. I care both the player and our clubs future more than that 3 points. I would be fine if it’s cup final. But no.

Under current FFP you gotta sell the players that you have bought a few years ago so you can buy better prospects and repeat the process which also means if Hall failed to get any minutes in next season, we will have a very difficult time to recoup any fees which would be a hard hit to our transfer capacity under FFP

a player can contribute more to the team than just scoring goals. I don’t quite understand why always say Barnes is a better footballer or a better fit to the team than ASM because “he score more goals”. Just like Wood, they can be a very useful plan B and do something that other players cannot, even they may not be the best fit to our plan A. That’s why we need a squad.
