  1. pretty sure by this rate we will start White and Parkinson the next league game, since we got nothing left
  2. To be honest I think by the time Man Utd got him, most of the foundation works have been done by other directors already and his value-add would be very limited.
  3. Now Pope out till next season
  4. Targett out with Achilles tendon injury. Surely that’s a few months out at the very least?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Back up GK, new CB, new RW are the minimum requirement, especially if Miggy is out for a couple of months. on top of that, a new DM who knows how to protect the back four and a new striker to replace Wilson.
  8. I would just add two points: 1. we all want to be back to what we like last season under Howe. The debate is just about his ability but not his personality. 2. Howe has had the same pattern of success and failure in Bournemouth. Even the bizarre injury crisis and the unacceptable defence performance echoed. I still remember when we hired Howe, my friends congratulated me and say we got a dedicated coach with good potential, yet “it remains to be seen how he would react when things turn sour, because that’s what he failed to do when he got fired last time, and that’s his biggest stumbling block from being a top class manager” At that time l don’t get it and just say note taken. Now I understand what he meant. Just like some said, he earns the right and time to learn and take actions. But that won’t be without limit.
  9. Raising questions and concerns doesn’t mean calling the sack now. However, I do think most of the people would agree if things keep on like this next season, we will have a new manager as soon as January.
  10. Which means you guys also got no clues why Howe didn’t address the problems. No point continue the discussion then.
  11. Instead of calling other poster a clown, how about answering the questions he raised? I genuinely want to know why Howe didn’t address the issue yet. Some are saying “if we are injury free our defense would be back to last year standard”. yet I can’t see how Pope could have prevent the first goal since it’s the midfield who is not doing the pressing work. I also don’t think Trippier or Botman would have helped to prevent the second goal. Is that Howe, as the manager in charge, could do nothing to help our defense? Is that his ceiling? That’s very valid quesiton imo. If that’s his ceiling then it is not wrong to call him just a stepping stone manager. We all hope he is the one we want. The defense display suggest otherwise. We have been asking why Hall is not playing more minutes. Time after time he shows he could do a job within very limited minutes, and while most of the people said “pretty sure he has to start / play more minutes the next game” after the cameo, we all witnessed what happened, again and again. I genuinely hope we don’t see Dummett starting our next game, ahead of Hall.
  12. Yep. That’s my opinion. Feel free to disagree. As I have said, the whole team looks disjoint when defending, losing shapes everywhere, keep on conceding same pattern of goals, lack of communication (or even pre match preparation), for months, and we show no signs of improvement. Everton 3 goals Spurs 4 goals Fulham clean sheet Luton 1 goal Forest 3 goals Liverpool 4 goals Man City 3 goals Villa 1 goal Luton 4 goals Forest 2 goals Bournemouth 2 goals Arsenal 4 goals Wolves clean sheet Chelsea 3 goals West Ham 3 goals since Everton we concede 37 goals in 15 games, on average that’s 2.46 goals. That’s ridiculous
  13. I am serious. No fucking way we allowed that second goal to happen. Absolutely no fucking way.
  14. The attacking side is actually quite encouraging. Gordon and Isak are just on fire. Bruno is still controlling and creating chance as usual. Longstaff still making good runs. We still have our best player (Trippier) out and you have to give credit to Howe and the players to be able to score 4 goals. If they are not held back by our lack of support from LB, we should be able to score even more. And that’s why I am just so fucking furious about the cheap goals conceded. You can see Gordon need to sacrifice his ankle twice to win penalty (X2), you can see Isak playing like a world beater, and then you can see our defense line (or even the whole team) committing school boy error and ruins all the work done. The first goal conceded yesterday is ridiculous. The second goal is simply unacceptable at any level. Where the fuck is the communication about the position before taking the corner? It’s like playing against amateur level AI in FC24. We have been like this for months. I may be too critical for this because I am a defender in real life, but I really think this is close to the worst defence I have ever seen as a supporter of Newcastle. Injury is really not an excuse. It’s the defence discipline that is lacking everywhere. Howe has absolutely no excuse for this poor defense display, so as some of the players.

    Harvey Barnes

Looks like finally recovered from injury and playing 100%
  16. Fucking hell. Tell me what’s the reasoning behind the Krafth substitution and the Halls treatment then? Tell me what the fuck are the whole team is doing for their first goal? Where is the coaching? Keep on losing the same pattern of goals every game? Cheap goals again and again? We are closing to have the worst defence record in the league and should that not being questioned? Doom mongerer?
  17. seriously Howe got it fucking wrong before 3:1. Certainly you can be happy for the result alone, that’s a great comeback. But if you look in details that’s a very poor performance from our side. West Ham just sit back and wait for the goals to happen. We conceded three goals again. again and again. I really can’t be happy for this. You can feel free to celebrate
  18. At the very least Gordon has to have the control of the ball before getting kicked - which means he should have touch the ball first
