It was the manner of his actions. This wasn't kissing the badge to opposing fans. Yes he took a lot of stick just like a lot of footballers do, but many don't run the length of the pitch to wind them up. I agree that some of the calls for him to be banned for months are over the top but IMO he deserves a 3 match ban for both of the incidents. Same goes for Nathan Tyson and what he did after the match against Derby. I would still say we'd be more than pissed off if an ex player of ours did what Adebayour or Tyson done.

I would like to see the reaction on here if Bellamy does the same thing and runs all the way to our fans in the same manner as Adebayour. I pretty sure we'd be calling for his head. It was daft what he did and it was a bit more than rubbing the fans noses in it, the fact that he ran all that way sort of elminated the "heat of the moment" excuse.

I'd move Barton infield, Guthrie out wide, Nolan back as the support man with Geremi coming in out wide. I think it worked a little better with Guthers out wide against Leicester and Nolan pushing on. Lets keep Butt out!

That was possibly our weakest performance this season yet we come away from home against a team that will be there or thereabouts come May 2010 in the promotion chase with 3 points. We will not play many better teams than Cardiff this season thats for sure. I am over the moon with that kind of win. Commentators laud all over Man Utd when they win like that. And as Oldtype mentioned we are without our 2 most influencial attacking players this season. What a great start to the season, but supporting Newcastle I am waiting for the next disaster, you get the feeling that everything is going too well.

I am happy with him so far. He is technically sound which you would expect from someone brought through the ranks and Man Utd. Needs more confidence going forward. He's here to defend in the main and he is a big reason for our clean sheets this season. Very impressed with his performance against Leicester considering it was his 1st time in the position and the Leicester strike force is one of the better in the league. Same with Cardiff, I can't think of too many stronger forward lines in the league than Cardiff or Leicester.

Except Butt's catchphrase is "I cannot pass"

Cardiff are one of the better teams in the Championship and going there will be tough, I will be happy with a draw, but given our start we can win there. Their crowd will be up for this one, it will be their 1st big match at the new stadium. I assume we will travel well to Cardiff so the atmosophere should be top quality. Being a Swansea boy would give me even extra pleasure in seeing the Toon beat Cardiff.

Earnshaw can score goals at this level. Even though he has been around a bit he still seems very raw to me. He is very much a confidence driven player, when he's good he is very good (at this level) when he is bad he is terrible. Has had some really good games for Wales in the past and hasn't always looked out of place on the International Stage. It would be carnarge if both he and Ameobi had a bad game together it would be like Bambi and it's short ass twin playing together.

We've got to played hardball with Everton then, they have the cash so I wouldn't want to accept anything less than 10 mill for Taylot. I don't think he is worth it then again Taylor is worth more of his 10 million than Lescott is worth of his 24... I really hope we keep hold of Taylor, but if the money is silly and we do get the chance to replace him then there is not much we can do.

Do the Baggies travel well? I know they have a decent set of fans!!

They're a good bunch!! Ha ha!! Nah, I wouldn't get beat up but I would be the bullied one whole trip unless from the off I go all Joey Barton on one of them, that should buy me some peace!!!

There is a lot of buzz around Swansea for the game mind. I think the Swans fans will be up there in numbers. Say if I did come up and try to get a ticket in the home end being a Toon supporter like would I get a kickin on that day when people hear my accent thinking I am some kind of plant? A mate is running a stage do that weekend and I've been invited. Now there are two reasons I am reluctant. 1. Visiting a city when your hometown club are playing could be dangerous especially if things get heated on the pitch. 2. I couldn't really go up with them and when the go to the game I say "terra" boys I'm heading for the Gallowgate. Either way I may end up battered....

There is no way shola should have more game time than Andy Caroll, at the moment Carroll looks a far better player than Shola no goal.....

commentators are wankers mike ashley is quite brave mind!!! Jesus wept!!!

there is no bid, unless there is a very secret bid from anyone,we won't be sold . that,my friend, i can guarentee . In the mean time Ashley is selling off players to make up for the shortfall in Shepherd's offer. Sounds plausible... even if it has been plucked out of thin air. Let's invent an ITK source to make it sound more credible. Marley????
