    Sam Allardyce

He was found out at Newcastle. No doubt he was a success at Bolton, his style may have been boring etc, but to do what he did with Bolton you have to give him credit, but since then he has been poor. Such an arrogant man and seems to be one of the untouchables in management, maybe something to do with being good friends with red nose Fergie? I don't like West Ham and I don't like Fat Sam, they can rot IMO. I don't think they can go back up, there are a lot of changes needed, then again I assume loads of people were saying the same about us when we went down.
  2. It maybe a stupid question but how would we know about the clause in the contract. Is it a case of we liked him anyway, contacted his agent then his agent lets us know about the clause? Or agent looking for a move and contacts clubs to let them know about the clause? obviously Lille are going want to keep details like that on the quiet!
  3. The Sun Headline - Shocker - Bad Boy Barton at it again. Star footballer to address child abuse claims!
  4. Seems to be able to score from anywhere, the video only lacked headers really. His concentration and control when bringing the ball down from the air seems sublime.
  5. Great stuff I alway knew naming my cat Zizou would be relevant one day
  6. I'd take Cole for a small fee but he is going to cost £5million plus, so no thanks!
  7. Simpson for me, he has improved as a player. Though I agree that Barton has massively improved his game this season for us, as a player though he has been better in his career. Nolan has found his peak again and proved me totally wrong. I really didn't think he would be effective in the Premiership.
  8. Colo for me, a pity about all the suspensions that Tiote has picked up otherwise I think it would be him.
  9. If true does it trump cigar in the eye?
  10. Big Sol marking Leon Best! I think Xisco would have liked that.

    Leon Best

Not that this means much I'd much prefer him in the team than Kuqi. He is average at best but the only real option at the moment, I really hope Best and Ranger start today. Next season Best shouldn't be anywhere near our team and Ranger should be out on loan to a team that pretty much guarentees him a start.
  12. Yeah, Pato's flight from Milan has been delayed. You're wrong, we are waiting for Roberto Baggio!!!

    Alan Pardew

It seems the most we can criticise him for at the moment are his subs, but given the injuries/suspension theres not much to work from. Hughton used to take a lot of stick for his subs as well.

    Alan Pardew

I've been pleasantly surprised. Though if we had lost the past two games I would probably be happy to see an effigy (sp?) of him hanging from the Tyne bridge. Fickle fan alert!!!!
  15. Fuck that hurt again. As most have said would have taken that before the game but to be four points worse off because of fecking injury time. Well played by the team. Some better decision making late on and we would have scored a 2nd. We've held our own with Carroll out hopefully we'll starting killing teams off with him back. Overall still quite happy, some reinforcements needed though.
  16. The Barton booking really pissed me off because if it were Gerrard, it would have been a full blooded committed tackle, they would have laughed at old Scholesy. Most of the ball was taken but it yes it was a bot forceful and un needed at that stage. But he hardly deserves to be hung drawn and quartered for it.
  17. I'm not too dissapointed that Harper is back in, he did start the season as number 1, Krul has done well and this experience will be excellent for his progress.
  18. Smith to come on, smash up De Jong, get sent off, 5 minutes later there is a load of commotion in the stands, Smithy is standing behind Ashley strangling him with Smith's own top and Derek just standing there pissing himself in fear. 2 minutes later 50,000 chanting Smithy, Smithy, Smithy!!!
  19. I was starting to forgive them, they kept their heads down, seemed to back Chris in the summer with the Tiote and Ben Arfa signings, things were going on the pitch so I started to forget the shit, but then this, the sacking of Chris was bad enough but to replace him with Pardew is just criminal.
  20. This ranks up there with the feeling I had when we were relegated. I feel angry, hurt, bemused and very helpless. SBR being sacked the way he was and more to do with the timing was poor, if SBR had been let go in the summer and replaced by a good manager then I think a lot of us would have accepted it, but to be sacked a few games in and replace with cuntness really rankled. Keegan's departure 1st time around was out of the blue to me, as I am in Swansea we didn't get the media coverage on the club as you do up Newcastle and I had no internet back then so it was a big shock. Pardew, I still can't believe it!! Why Ashley Why?

    Alan Pardew

This would rank worse than Bolton employing that tit Megson. And there is sod all we can do about it. Its bad enough losing Chris, but to replace him with this clown will hurt. The only thing he has had more experience in is being shit.
  22. Its easy to forget that Kenny took us to 2nd in the table, and possibly closer to the title that season, I know under Keegan it went to the last day albeit needing the smoggies with a Robson bumming Fergie to do the unthinkable, but if we had come through the West Ham game with a victory we would have had Man Utd in a massive game on a Thursday night if I remember correctly? But Kenny did buy some tripe but also some quality players. For me Souness was the worse, Kinnear ranks up there, I do believe we would have stayed up if he hadn't become ill however, he was dogshite and I think he could have taken us down the season after.

    Diving

I think Fifa/FA should think about introducing sin bins for diving, you cacn't get much more blatant that Drogba yesterday neither linesman or ref were bought it, in that case WHY wasn't he booked. A sin bin maybe an option for the Ramieres type challange, a yellow card doesn't seem to cover it but a red card a bit too harsh. I think sin binning maybe an excellent tool for a ref in todays game. The only doubt I have is that refs may use it as a bit of a cop out when a nasty challenge deserving of a red card instead of sending a player off may give them a stint in the bin. Rugby League refs do cop out decisions with the "on report" option, but at least something gets reviewed, whether or not the ref sees it. The game needs cleaning up, I have no problems with the punishments handed out to Willo and Barton but the system needs to be fair.
  24. It was very silly, I can't see how we can defend it. Pedersen made a meal of iy no doubt. However, at the end of the day Barton struck another player, you can't go around doing that on the football pitch. At the same time, I fully expect this to be blown out of proportion because it is Joey Barton. Hopefully it will be a small 1 or 2 game ban at most and we can just get on with it and forget the incident, because for most of the season he has played well.

    Shola Ameobi

Long may this kind of form continue. He's going to have a bad patch again, but hopefully his confidence won't dip when it does. On his day he is a complete handful. Him and Carroll should have a good old tangle with Christopher Samba on Wednesday. Lets fuck up Allardyce.
