  1. Aye when you've spent the vast majority of your career in the lower leagues I can't fault players for getting a nice pay day wherever they can. Lambert could possibly earn more in that move in 2 years then he has for the previous decade combined. Could really help take care of his kids kids. Can't fault those types of moves at all.
  2. And he has a truckload of backroom staff.
  3. Reid has been good whenever i've seen Forrest on Sky
  4. Best striker we have had at the club since Shearer IMO. Saying that, I would only sign him if we had an agreement it would be permanent. Remy and Ba in the same side could realistically push us on the brink of CL qualification. But we would need to be certain at least one of them would be made permanent.
  5. Easy to forget Lukaku is the same age as Barkley.
  6. Jose also has had the luxury of having genuinely fantastic squads which helps with subs but aye that's one of his strong points. IMO his ability to get the best out of players is his primary strength. Tactically, I don't think he has an edge on any other top manager. It's a shame he doesn't rate Mata. Physically Mata's not a Mourinho player but neither was Ozil.
  7. Definitely a penalty and a red card tbh. No choice either really.
  8. Would be a good signing. They just need back-up to Giroud
  9. Haidara seems to be a fav. of Pardew. Can see santon moving to RB, MYM & Willo at the back
  10. Got to be a penalty from Lloris. Come out lke that with your feet and miss the ball it's a red.
  11. Adebayor is class when he's in the mood.
  12. Wish Mata moved to another PL club. Fabulous player to watch.
  13. Agree with Hamann there. When Man City don't have the ball, Toure's barely interested. Off the ball he's very much a lazy player.
  14. He's the blood and thunder type. He'll pick up the odd red. This is his second. It's a shame both his reds have been some horrendously stupid tackles. He needs to be careful he doesn't pick up a reputation. I used to think Tiote's reputation was a tad harsh. But he intentionally fouls opponents at least 3 times a game.
  15. He's the type of player who as soon as he loses his physical edge, he starts to look a shit player. His main asset is athleticism, when he begins to tire his game goes to pot a bit. Needs a bloody good rest. Gouffran too. As a side we are over reliant on running hard and fast. Like O'Neill's Villa side. Over reliance on athleticism.
  16. Still love Debuchy mind. He's the type of lad to get carried away and that's just what happened. He'll pick up many more cards while he's here. I hope it's yellows rather than reds.
  17. They're not. The 'intent' rule is a load of s***. When the ball is won first, and cleanly it should not be a foul, regardless of the tackle. It is a crock of s***. He got the ball cleanly and never touched their player. If he'd cleaned the kid out fair enough, but he never touched him. Nah. There's no place for that type of challenge in the modern game. It shouldn't be attempted and therefore does not need any interpretation. You do it, red card and it's just. Teaches players (of all ages) not to attempt those tackles. Next time you'll break someone's leg.
  18. Those tackles are the equivalent of a knuckle duster in a fist fight. Cowardice.
  19. Some right bollocks being spouted here. Suarez more creative? Before Sturridge joined Suarez was loath to pass to anyone. And he's only shown a selfless steak in these last fewomths. Suarez has the ability to beat 2-3 players and strike it in from a tight corner. And he'll give it a right go 8 times out of 10. He still gets crowded out when sribing Ben Arfa style too regularly. Compare that to Messi or Iniesta and it shows a lack of awareness on his behalf. If you can dribble really well people start making ludicrous statements. Suarez is a phenomenal player. Might be better than RVP and he can improve still. But it's not that cut and dry. Suarez can probably do more with less but then his game is more individual based. I don't think being in a better team would elevate his game any but I gues it wouldn't need too.
  20. I've said this before but of all our CM's Tiote takes the most responsibility. He'll always show for the ball and therefore always makes the most passes. When he doesn't play nobody takes on that mantle. We simply just become more passive.
  21. Aye he's pretty handy at crosses. I think the delivery did him for the goal. Krul wanting to come out and catch/punch will save more goals than it costs when he realised he won't get it.
  22. Thought he and Tiote did well personally. It was the wide lads that where disappointing. Cabaye and Remy then looked isolated.
  23. Excellent post. It's that type of defending that makes people question Colo as captain or if his head is in the team 100%. No organising. Doesn't take responsibility etc.
