Zaha is 20, still developing, and playing in the biggest match of his life. You should stop being so final in your judgment of him. He's not of a quality necessary for Manchester United currently, but has plenty of time and natural ability to improve. Agreed. I wasn't convinced on Moses but he's rounded into a good player, and I think Zaha is better than Moses was. Agreed. IMO Watford are a much better side than they showed yesterday. Very young side and they choked imo. Didn't play at all. Crystal Palace would've won comfortably had Glenn Murray been fit. Wilbraham was atrocious.

Will be Chelsea/Man Utd. for the title. man City will try to rebuild and have a proper crack at Europe

Agreed on everything. Don't think any team will be paying £20m. He barely plays.
-
Would like to see how he does next season. He's had a couple good seasons and one shocker.
-
Wouldn't take Lescott. We haven't done well with this type of signing before. Duff, Geremi etc.

I'd hope we would. In fact I'm pretty certain the discussion about a new player would go beyond Pardew texting Carr "OMG i need a left bck k thx bi x" There's a lot of people stating speculation as fact. Why did we got for someone like MYM when we could've got someone like Nicolas Isimat-Mirin for a fraction of the price? Already a small side, why would we sign Anita? He's a good player but was not what was needed. I know Pardew wanted Carroll so I assume he wanted to utilise his strengths and that he would suit the team. None of the attackers we have signed or in that mould. Moussa... he doesn't know where to play him. From what I know he spent the majority of his time in France at CM or wide. He was #10/upfront for us. Anita the link between defence and midfield for Ajax, never done that for us. Gouff played as a #9, only hand a handful of games in that role for us. SO yeah, I don't think we sign players based on wanting them to play the way they did for their clubs. They're just "good" and we try to fit them in some how.

Why is that a problem? I'd like us to play on the front foot. Cabs can't play AM in a team like that.
-
We where signing Mapou before the Colo problems. IMO they wouldn't be a good partnership. Not big or strong enough as a pair. But we didn't think of that. Mapou's good, he's a CB. Sign him up.

I don't think the transfer policy is that good. We sign players for positions but we don't look greatly at the type of player. I heard a story about SAF. He was going to sign either Cole or Collymore. He went with Cole because he's better in tight spaces, twisting and turning. Where as Collymore was more of a flat-track bully, perfect for counter-attacks. But Man Utd. often played against deep defences so he went with Cole. We wouldn't analyse it that way. He's good, he's good but A's 30% cheaper we'll go for him is our approach. With Marveaux/Gosling we just signed them because they're meant to be good and available on a free. It's opportunistic rather than cerebral. Has its perks, HBA for example. Quality player, available for cheap - signed. But it's not great for building a team. Players are signed because they're good value, rather than because of their specific skillset.

[ Really? We have 1 goal scoring striker in our squad. No genuine width and a severely unbalanced squad in general. We didn't look like a team at all during the whole of the season, to me that's down to how our transfer policy is shaping our squad. That's not a good transfer policy imo and I said in January it's a flawed one. This is me defending Pardew btw, as he hasn't been provided with the right players. Yes. You either hire a manager/coach that know how to play carpet football (which is what the 2 c***s should do asap) or you should give Pardew players that he know how to utilize. Yep. Done neither.

Europa League 2012/13 - Benfica 1 - 2 Chelsea

Great idea. -
Problem with Cabs playing forward is that we need to play on the counter with quick transitions for that to work.
-
Of course you can. Moyes has been far more attacking and trying to impose Everton's game on bigger teams (whilst still preparing to fight the opponents main strengths) than before this season. Since, the Liverpool SF final defeat.
-
You learn nothing about tax and financial management at school.
-
Agreed. Exasperated by the fact our manager insists on playing as if we had Chris Hughton's side.
-
great player. But he was piss poor in that second half. Because we are so crap his head down and run approach is often great for us but today, it just looked stupid.
-
Agreed. Receives overly harsh criticism on here.

For Chelsea, it's somewhat a valid argument as they could possibly challenge to win it in the latter stages with a couple great signings. Just in terms of the runs of success. Would you rather be Leeds somewhat challenge for the title, SF in CL or P'mouth FA Cup win? Knowing both teams would get relegated and be in the lower divisions for at least the next 5 seasons? I'd take the FA Cup.

For emphasis.
