  1. Soon as I’ve loggged on Real concede. Poor defending from the off. Should push up when it’s played short.
  2. Sarr is becoming the player he was threatening to become at Watford. The right manager and club can be transformative. There’s a few at Palace realising their potential - Will Hughes when he plays.
  3. Notice most of the managers complaining about Xg or these types of things are unemployed. Not that Xg is important or owt. It’s just the attitude to new information and data.
  4. Yeh Rooney was best as a second striker to me. Woltemade spent last season alternating between supporting striker and main striker according to transfermarkt. 5 goals as SS, 7 as CF. What you say about playing as a 10 and being effective isn’t entirely evident by the goals from last season. @Mole
  5. Rooney didn't consider himself a proper 9 and didn't enjoy it up there by himself as he main man. At least not the type we have been asking for since Howe took over.
  6. For Forest he plays as a proper CM. He plays the roles Miley has these last 2 games. Much more of a CM than Willock is asked to play even in the 8. Moreso than Joelinton too tbh.
  7. The ones I watch do. But there's 2 big issues - lots of European and Cup football, strength in depth in most defensive positions and not the best fixtures. I don't think anyone's minutes are secure except Pope.
  8. Very few thought he would be in contention to start for England at the World Cup 2026 with everyone fit. Definitely in the squad. His development has been tremendous and better than I thought. He was rated higher than Osula is now but not considerably more by our fans. Most were happy if £35m was the real sale price. It's already a bargain.
  9. I still credit Howe for a lot of his development. Howe took a young lad that was tearing it up in an attacking role. Realised he probably wasn't sharp/quick enough to do that at the highest level. But took his physicality up a few levels. Moved him deep and central and brought that classic Howe tenacity and sharpness.
  10. Jill is good craic tbh. They just ignore her A big part is they al played in roughly the same era and Jill basically played a different sport. And they ignore her because she’s a woman. They do that super 6 bit at the end - Wrighty and Keane just ignore her input again and again
  11. Aye and all the rotation. Gordon’s sending off hasn’t helped. But you want to see Gordon Nick W Elanga for a run of games
  12. Really want to see how him and Elanga gel. It’s a massive shame we missed out on Mbeumo. I think Nick W’s attributes suit 2 inside forwards
  13. They do Jill dirty every week.
  14. this is funny. Al does live in his head rent free. I don’t take these comments seriously. It’s a bit. Him, Wrighty and Neville have good chemistry.
  15. Would love to see him in the Joelinton position against weaker opposition. I think he can get the goals Joelinton did on Tuesday on a regular basis at his best
  16. Bruno G. I don’t think Miley is in there. Not on here at least.
  17. I never said we are overly reliant on our strikers. I am content with that spread of goals. This is the second time I’m saying this. You didnt need to type all that.
  18. I remember Shola doing Desailly dirty on the turn but to shoot not for pace. Lua Lua Bellamy Dyer Jenas all quick. Shola? Never for me. Mobile. Good size and strength. But quick?
  19. Personally think his window for maximum PSR value has gone. Not today we can’t get good money. I am sentimental. But players that really get it. You keep around unless you really have to sell. I don’t see us moving beyond him on the pitch for atleast 2 years. Moving on Pope, Schar, Tripps, Burn, Lascelles, Bruno, Joelinton, Murphy, Krafthu, Tonali I dont get that same connection with Willock, Gordon, Botman etc.
  20. Unless it’s club policy that any red is 2-weeks wages it seems OTT response
  21. I’ve not said we are overly reliant. I think our spread of goals is fine. We were over reliant on Isak last season mind but he was world class and we didn’t have anyone else capable in the role. Think Nick W and Wissa will replace the Isak goals between them, hopefully more. We’ve been getting 12-15 goals from central midfield. More is great but I don’t think that’s bad.
