  1. This not how amortisation works. He'll still have a small amount left. The amortization is extended with every contract extension. So KDB still has a small amortization cost to Man City. But you're right it's a good idea to sell him from an FFP perspective. 60m would be fantastic business. He's one who would expect megabucks to extend too.
  2. That lot are definitely up to no good but it’s good that he’s a lad in the group.
  3. Don Flo to you. Dortmund awful from set pieces. They let 5’8 Carvajal have 2 great chances from corners. And Nacho with another. Shit way to lose a final.
  4. Rumour has it he got the Madrid job a second time after a call to Flo to ask about getting players on loan for Everton and then the idea was born. It seemed bonkers at the time. Like Flo had become senile and boring someone on the way down. Both Perez and Carlo have an understanding of the sport that can’t be expressed in words.
  5. He has 6 champ. Started every single one. Think he went off injured for Nacho for 3 mind.
  6. They couldn’t defend set pieces or attack them. Thats where they lost. Madrid had like 6 corners. Scored 1, almost scored another 2. Dortmund had what felt like 12. Barely got an attacking header.
  7. Ref got the Vini yellow wrong then thought fuck it - let’s get them all wrong. likewise linesman has been off with his flag too.
  8. I did prefer him to Kelly which sucks.
  9. Chelsea will pay him what would be equivalent to a top earner or close for us. I would assume the highest wage defender we have is Trippier at about 100-120k. I don’t think Tosin would get paid as much as him but he might be close. Chelsea will surely pay him that or a little more.
  10. Yeh fair enough. £100k imo was too much anyway.
  11. That gap is tactical btw. When we are inn’rest defence’ we setup as a flat 5 with a noticeable gap between midfield and defend. when we first went 433 we defended 4141. With Shelvey between the lines in that gap.
  12. The gap has always existed. Villa exploited it when they beat us 3-0. Brighton exploited us when they beat us. Many teams eat in those spaces.
  13. With quicker CBs do we close that gap? that gap is a killer for us.
  14. Lowest wages to revenue in the league. They don’t invest anywhere near as much as the other. Which is why they don’t win. The advantage Spurs have is they can spend a lot year in year out to get into the CL. Then they’ll coast again. Levy doesn’t buy megastars in the main so the wages remain low.
  15. Funny thing about Gordon - he's a bit of a bully at SJP but not the best away from home. Like of his 20 odd G/A. 15+ were at home I think. Most players are better at home but his record is particularly home-focussed. You would think he would be better away from home with more space on the counter but it ain't the case so far.
  16. Mbeumo is a top. I would just rather a playmaker type. From players named: Olise Mbeumo MGW MGW is right footed. Don't want him on the right.
  17. Are they allowed to introduce these rules. by FIFA? These are fundamental changes. I don't like any of the rules. Net playing time feels inevitable but I fear it would make the game even slower IMO. Players will just slow down to take a breather both offensive and defensive with no time pressure to hurry up. Imagine a "kick-in" with no clock. Will take fucking ages. Self pass is a good idea actually. Having to pick a pass slows the game down. I've changed my mind. Kick in for throw-ins = depends on implementation. I instinctively don't like it though. Sin bins = I like it actually. Especially for cynical fouls Self-pass = like a lot Flying substitutes = hate it. Net playing time = think it will slow the game down even more.
  18. No he's not. But Kamara and Tielemans will earn roughly that amount. I feel like other players will want parity but McGinn has ages on his contract. Douglas Luiz is 26 with a contract expiring in 2 years. He's due the big paper if he's to stay.
  19. McGinn will be well worth his £170k p/w. Interesting to see who Villa sign actually. Does the CL mean they can really go again in the transfer market? The Tonali ban really flopped us. We signed some great players but we didn't make any signings like Isak or Bruno G even a Botman. And that with the injuries killed us in the league. Had we signed another true star from the off it would've been brilliant. Villa would look great with another top player or two.
  20. Barkley is a good transfer. 8 games in the CL is great for revenue. Is it all pre-Christmas still? It's going to be TOUGH for teams like us and Villa for the league-form. We can't really rotate like the cartel teams. It's playing your best 8 players week-in, week-out. At best we had Tonali & Isak for the CL, with Longstaff and Wilson playing in the league and rested Gordon once for 20 minutes before Barnes injury. As good a manager as Emery is. He's not famed for his league form when winning trophies in Europe.
  21. Not true at all. Unless he's a permacrock. Willock's value will increase next summer. A solid season and he's a £30m player or more - he'll be 25. We'd get £20m for him now due to the injury and people forgetting about him.
