Amanda was a great voice. She's a suit but seemed authentic in energy. The other suits feel like suits.

PIF club al-Hilal bid £70m for Nunez

They overspent and overindulged Howe. BUT if Tonali doesn’t get suspended or Botman doesn’t do his ACL - just one more rub of the green we probably qualify for Europe - with good luck we get into Europa League. Then it’s a gamble that paid off. And they did all of that before they knew PL would be handing out points deductions.

What makes you certain of this? Why do you think we haven't we offered him that already?

Just what i've read in reports. I think there were some discussions earlier in the summer/spring of 24 but reports were the club were ok with how things are. They spoke to Isak around the time Gordon's contract was being negotiated. As Isak has a long time left on his contract. Gordon signed and talks with Isak haven't been reported as being advanced or seen as a priority. My assumption is - if the club were certain Isak was at the centre of the project over the next few years, it would be a priority and we would've got it signed around the time the Gordon deal was signed. Again, I assume the club want to wait and see on multiple fronts - safe in the knowledge we could get a great fee for Isak.

We'll have to pay him close to the going rate. That's likely to be in a new stratosphere for us let's say 200-275k. If we aren't willing to get close, bling bling boy or comfy chill guy - he'll want off. It is what it is. I just wish this team could land a Cup and give the CL another go. It's possible.

Yeh fairs. It’s all bad though. Was it Skipp that went for £20m in the summer? No FFP funny business. We don’t get those types of fees. -

Would’ve got shit money, no? -
Still not registered Olmo. Dont see how they can afford £120m+ and wages. Don’t have to be ‘bling bling’ to get paid the amount other professionals of your quality do. Weird post. Like i said, the club don’t seem to be in a rush which is a bad omen imo for him being here beyond 2026. I guess the club may want to see where we are financially come the summer. I assume the club haven’t decided whether we will break up the band and rebuild or attempt to find a way to build on what we already have. Things change Quickly. But for most of the last 18 months we’ve been 2-4 players away from being a serious team. GK, RW, RCB + ST/another quality player. And keep who we want. That team challenges well in all fronts. I hope PIF think ‘let’s keep the core of this and build’ and find levers to make that a reality.

True. But we are at a point where Isak is underpaid and if he wants to stay, he would want a new contract on better terms. From the little i've heard/read Isak is more keen on a new contract than us. Which is somewhat positive.

Tbf the players are shit and don't get big club bias/rep. -
We dodged a bullet there

They're replacing Philogene, no? Similar fees I think.
-
Who can afford him abroad in Europe? PSG, Real maybe Bayern. There’s as many options in the PL as the whole of Europe. The fee is dependent on our FFP and other PL clubs FFP. We should’ve signed him up again last summer. Now the wage demands are probably untenable but let’s hope. We don’t seem too pressed to get it done like we did with Gordon. I think the club might want to sell him in 2026. He’ll have £20m left of his amortisation costs. Massive accounting profits.
-
Contradicted yourself a bit. The key thing is salary. We've finished above Man U once in the history of the PL - thanks to Isak. We've not finished above Arsenal in the league for how many years? If they pay the money, Isak would entertain it.
-
Spurs-tastic transfer.
-
Wishful thinking in here imo. If Man U or Arsenal put up the money and we don't - he would consider it. I don't either will though.

Aye. With the possible exception of Chelsea. But like Chelsea - they’ll get to exploit loopholes others can’t. -
It’s not a safer bet like. A lot of great PL sides were built off the back of ‘top’ sides buying the best players from the division from other clubs. Cole, Yorke, Campbell, Cantona, Ferdinand, Carrick, Tevez, Rooney, Berbatov, Van Persie etc. PL started losing recipes when the likes of Bale went abroad. He should’ve gone to Man U or Chelsea the first time he won Player of the Year. Go out buy the best the PL has to offer is a good strategy. I don’t think he ends up at Arsenal though. Chelsea are more likely to make it happen.
-
And Arsenal are one of the biggest 10-15 clubs in the world. After the tier ones (Real, Juve, Bayern etc.) it's them and the likes of Atleti.
-
The "£150m" is entirely dependent on our FFP position. If Arsenal have the money and ambition Isak would go. They would pay him (close to) £300k. That's sort of the level Isak is at and the money he should aim for. If he doesn't extend by the end of the summer, I expect him to be sold the following summer. He deserves the money and we'll need to cash in.
-
AFTV Robbie is a solid bloke from what I’ve seen. He just platforms the Arsenal fans lunacy. It’s some of the recurring characters that put on an act that I don’t like.

Game not available in the UK? At least I don’t have to watch a Madrid pasting.

Idc about Joshua Zirkzee pal.

2 of which I don’t expect to be here next season.
