He looks the crock of shit he looked before he signed for us and had his purple patch. As if he couldn't have stayed until January to see how things went.

The stats when he starts a game this season versus when he doesn't say otherwise. Proper grafter, not the best player in the world, but excellent for us this season. -

Did they not play Man Utd at home in the FA Cup a couple of years ago? -
I kept doing that on Saturday, thought Gouff had shaved his head but tv evidence last night says it's bleached.

The lights thing actually generated an atmosphere. It's more than most people do in the ground to create one. To be fair to them it did create an atmosphere and a bit of noise for a while afterwards, more than the flags thing ever did. Probably because of the spontaneity of it as opposed to preplanned contrived things designed to generate atmosphere.

Aye, he had his 1 good game in 10 today like, played well.

May sound heartless but how is a load of people clapping going to help the kid? -
Right then, there's a couple of things in there that have me thinking and would like input from the old gits on here. Our PE teacher 1976-80 (aged 9-13) insisted on no underwear under PE gear (to be fair I still never wear keks under shorts) and he'd watch us now and again in the showers, there'd be about 20 in there at a time (loads of kids in the shower can be dangerous, I saw two split heads and one broken arm from larking about), now though I wonder and that's horrible. We weren't allowed to wear underpants under our shorts for PE either unless we had brought a spare pair and had to prove it. (same era). he also sometimes made us have cold showers as well and made sure we stayed in their with no one allowed out as if "we didn't the cold showers we must be puffs". Do you see anything pervy in it now, looking back ? It just seemed like the norm and something we'd been warned about by other kids before leaving primary school and going to the big school. Not sure what to think now looking back as it's over 35 years ago, but I know my kids don't have showers after pe at school, seems to have been stopped.

Why? He's been part of a team that's won considerably more games than it's lost and conceded considerably fewer goals than it's scored. Great quote on a Sky programme about Forests 79 and 80 European Cup winning teams the other night from Viv Anderson. Said he scored a goal once and was quote chuffed until Clough brought him back down to earth chastising him about them conceding as he put him in the team to keep the ball out of Forests net not to score up the other end.

This. Any contact if any was minimal, never a red card or a penalty.

I still can't get my head around last nights game. Blatant penalty for the foul on Clark. Very slight grappling from both players for Clarks "goal" which should have stood. Mancienne constantly grabbing Gayles shirt by the scruff of the neck and getting away with it. Shelvey being kicked at by Lansbury with not much in the way of retaliation that I could see yet Lansbury rolls around holding a spot that Shelvey was no where near and they get a penalty whereas it should have been a free kick to us and at the very most a yellow each for the handbags. Lansbury then stops, starts to fall over and Dummett falls over him yet the ref gives a pen and a red card?!?!? unreal. Their equaliser was a joke, fouling, handballing and then a player coming back from an offside position to swing a leg at the ball right in Darlows face. Goufrann booked for brushing shoulders Absolute Bollocks.

I was at the 0-1 and the 5-0, I've always said to people not there that we massacred them 0-1 and it felt to me like it was more one-sided than the 5-0. Anyone know the stats? Don't know the stats but the 1-0 was very one sided and we murdered them whereas the 5-0 was actually a closer game than it would seem and man utd didn't play that badly. -

Really hard game this one on the back of a gruelling cup tie and extra time. I think we'll struggle and will be happy with a point. -

He started against Wolves and was hopeless, like George Weah's cousin. -
