    Dean Ashton

Exactly despite his injuries (a couple unlucky) he is a powerful striker who would thrive in a 4-3-3. I can't see how people can say he isn't good enough.
  2. 1) Premiership Winners Arsenal 2) FA Cup Winners Man Utd 3) Carling Cup Winners Arsenal 4) UEFA Champions League Winners Inter Milan 5) UEFA Cup Winners Bayern Munich 6) Euro 2008 Winners Spain 7) Teams Promoted to premiership from championship Ipswich, Watford, West Brom 8) Teams Relegated from premiership to championship Derby, Sunderland, Fulham
  3. whos he? Jean Makoun Great call!
  4. Mine too, on the ball anyway. If we are to have any chance they need to play the ball on the floor. With that trio in central midfield, we will be utterly incapable of playing the ball on the floor. It's unfathomable isn't it. We cannot, we just simply CANNOT play long high balls if Martins is our lone striker. Surely its simple. Get it low and fast as possible to the wingers, fullbacks overlap, smith joins the attack, goal!! In reality its Hoof it to martins and errr yeh that'll do..
  5. 4-4-2 with Smith upfront hopefully In an ideal world yes, but thats not Sam's way is it
  6. You get to see your magic 4-4-2 ladies..
  7. He has a little point though.. We are fickle fuckers.
  8. Would be top but I really can't see it..
  9. The major point. We were FUCKING SHIT even before Sam took over. A summer of losing all the deadwood then attempting to sign replacements, despite our poor league position was always going to be hard. We are 11th FFS, its hardly end of the world stuff. Sam will come good with time.
  10. I skimmed it and I agree with most of what I read. It seems the players take no blame "because Sam signed them". Sam can only motivate so much, in reality its down to the players in the factors you mentioned. I seriously doubt he wants them to fkin hoof it, take no shots, not close down etc.. It seems a lot of the players are for the INDIVIDUAL and not for the TEAM. The MINIMAL EFFORT put in by the players is evident in some poor results.
  11. im not too fussed by it, its just rather worthless having an opinion on anything on here. Who said that? If people thought your opinions were worthless they wouldn't bother debating them. every opinion ive offered has been debated/argued against. i cant remember anyone ever agreeing with me. still, i dont go for kneejerking, so why would they. Aye, I much prefer those forums where everyone agrees with one another. They're really entertaining, not to mention educational. there's constructive criticism and then there's the usual "he's s**** man" "youve been to no games" "you're talking s****" that litter replies. I've agreed with you in recent discussions you tit
  12. Exactly. If you have to actually sit through the matches and see us waste that potential week after week it's more difficult to be positive than if you just look at the league table and think "Hmm, 10th. That's not bad. And we played well against xxxx on Sky the other week." But we were never going to be a rampaging beautiful football machine. Which brings us back to the original point. We are a mid table side - inconsistancy is part of the role.

  14. Someone needs to remind him he is here to play football and not chat shit though
  15. Shocking to think this retard gets paid to voice his opinions. Couldn't someone have thought to get him a thesaurus for Christmas? Probably thinks they're extinct. Very good
