How have we strengthened our full back positions? We basically have one on each side without much back up.
-
Aye. We threw away some points last season by not having back ups and its going to happen again. 3 strikers, 3 proper centre backs and hardly any full backs. Even a few promising youngsters would have been nice in those positions so we'd at least have some back up. It's pretty obvious Pardew would have liked faces in. He was probably slapped down for suggesting a replacement for Ryan Taylor last night.

Sounds like the name of a s*** 90's rental shop. Haha. I'd try an type the name of their town, but when you see it you'd understand why i didnt bother.

Videoton would be decent. Been to their ground in Hungary.

Who were the abusers? There could only have been 5-10 groups of fans who made the trip.

Tenners steep, but like with boxing, alot of people just invite a few mates round and pay a couple quid each.

Don't see any point in sending players to play in a league the standard of the Blue Square North.

Hearts or Motherwell

I've actually had a guided bus tour of Sunderland, I kid you not. It was through Gentoo and it was a tour of Sunderland's social housing. There was great pride in this street they have on the south side where Quinn and Arca have houses. That street looks OK I suppose but I can't imagine it attracting any new players.

Joseph S Blatter @SeppBlatter Enjoyed another intense afternoon of football at St James Park. It was great also to speak to fans at half-time #London2012

Berwick Rangers v Rangers moved to the Sunday 26th August at 12. On ESPN. For anyone interested.

Used to get Tottenham and Nottingham mixed up.

Was laughing when I saw that. Rewind and record... http://yfrog.com/jv3p9z

Can't help but think Carroll would just get in the way.

Ah right, just duff information off wikipedia. I wouldn't be surprised if they moved their games with Rangers to Hampden for the new Glasgow derby. They play at Hampden. Queen of the South in Dumfries play at Palmerston Park.

Only way you could combine the two league systems is if you changed the lower leagues so that it was regionalised higher up and you had say 4 regions. South, Midlands, North and Scotland. Then the Scottish teams could feed in that way. Hearts and a few other clubs would do fairly well considering their fanbase when they eventually got promoted. As others have said though, won't and shouldnt happen.

Aye, Sky trying to be so clever that they've even included a 2nd Division team in the list. Every hour they also say that Berwick have a capacity of 4100 with less than a quarter seats, despite showing on the screen 1300 seats, more than a quarter.
-
What, 2 weeks before the start of the season? With a shit manager and players who aren't even a 'team' yet? Don't get me wrong, they would be one of the favorites, but it isn't a given they would win the league.
-
Nobody cares about the small clubs though. It's all about the SPL, and the TV deal they have with Sky could be in jeopardy if Rangers and Celtic aren't in the top flight together after next season. Putting Rangers in Division 1 means they're all but guaranteed promotion to the SPL and then you've got the Old Firm together to keep Sky happy. It would be a disgrace if they got into SFL1, but it isn't guaranteed they would get promotion. They've not got many players signed up at the moment and won't exactly have much money to improve the squad. A club like Falkirk or Dunfermline could top that league.
-
Surprised the SPL have actually voted today. That Clyde statement shows how morally corrupt Scottish football now is. Sickening. Still not heard anything from Berwick. The chairman was sunning it up in France yesterday and sent the ex-manager, of all people, to the meeting.
-
Prediction for today, the SPL clubs will postpone their vote until after the SFL one. In that situation the SFL should say they won't vote until the SPL do. This is an SPL problem and the SFL shouldn't back down to bullies trying to blackmail them.

http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=224470 Even the Rangers fans see it for what it is.

http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/108457-spl-threaten-breakaway-league-if-sfl-clubs-do-not-agree-to-rangers-plans/ An absolutely disgusting development if true. It's basically blackmail!
