Pure frustration most of the time, unless Ben Arfa's on the ball.

Llambais going on about Ferguson and Wenger and their long term management has annoyed me a bit. It's not as if they've had the same coaches and backroom staff over their whole management. What if Pardew wanted to freshen up his coaches a year or two down the line, they're all on 8 year contracts too. Stupid.

It would be interesting to compare how many games some of our players have played compared to other teams in Europe. Some of the Chelsea players just seem to play every game.

Wickham needs to leave immediately. Defiantly. Could be a good player but the mackems are destroying him.
-
Think it was pretty obvious they weren't up for sale at the time. Loads fall for it though, as they do each and every time.

Newcastle United vs Norwich City - Sunday 23/09/12 @ 3pm

It's not that much about the system, though. It is. -
Theres only 3 or 4 players left at home that could have played anyway, which unfortunately says alot about our squad and the last transfer window.
-
Wasn't really expecting a ticket at 5000, so no chance at this allocation. Anyone any idea if you will need to send a copy of your passport and travel plans alongside your season ticket? Might rule out a few folk who use other peoples season tickets to get to the more popular away games.

League position attracts and keeps hold of players unfortunately, though. Though I agree. Really? I reckon most players would rather retire with a few medals than some 5th placed finishes. The players we want are wanting European football though (obviously CL first priority), that's mainly brought via League positions. Also, we win say the FA cup one year, it's not as big an attraction to players as it's unlikely we'll win it again. They'te not going to go, 'well Im going to Newcastle to win the FA cup'. Not that I advocate it but it's surely true. It's good for us 9the fans) and for the players at the coub at the time of winning it, doubt it's as much of an attraction as finishing 4th to prospective buys. The attraction is joining a club that can win things and are going places. If a player is here not expecting/trying to win competitions, then they're either unambitious, or we're their stepping stone.

It would have to be Europe wide to have any effect, and strict rules on extras beyond the basic wage. A better idea would be limiting the percentage of turnover to be spent on wages, then also some rules on ticket prices so clubs don't just try and increase turnover by putting up ticket prices. You would probably just get people like the City owners sponsoring them for £200million a year or something though.

Doesn't sound like there's much chance of a ticket before I get there then, so its relying on touts im afraid.

The behaviour at Boro wasn't great in the Championship game. Our train from Darlo was basically wrecked and folk shouting peado abuse at middle aged woman out on a day shopping isn't really great.
-
Rickard I think. Didn't have a teamsheet though so was struggling with some names.
-
Was at the game. Thought Berwick were the better team overall and kept Campbell out of the game for the most part.
-
Eurostar still cheaper now than when I booked. Mates just booked for £142 return from Berwick.
-
Can you book travel from Newcastle on the eurostar site? Yeah. You can pretty much book from anywhere on their site.
-
Booked my Eurostar at the weekend for £146, but when my mate booked last night it was down to £108. Thats including the return Berwick train but all booked on the Eurostar site. Seems I was too quick off the mark. ha
-
It will probably go down to 0 points then sell out pretty quick. That said, Llambais might accept a reduced allocation. Would be pretty stupid considering thousands are going to be in the city anyway.
-
If they're targeting the Champions League, theyre not going the right way about it! haha. Still, can't wait for it the games, whatever the team.
-
We don't seem to be aiming for top 4 considering our transfer window, so surely it's the Europa League again and to try and win something.
-
It's a competition we should be aiming to win, along with the League Cup. I would be disappointed if we just constantly played the youngsters, even against strong opposition. Personally, I'm hoping to see players like Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Cisse and Tiote to lead us semi-finals, finals, and to hopefully finally win us something. Not that I think we need to play the same players constantly.
-
Got the train booked from Berwick to Brugge through the Eurostar site. Going on the Wed, back on the Fri. Hoping we get plenty tickets and I actually get one! Just a member and not a season ticket holder.
-
Still happy with our first 11, but its so frustrating the lack of ambition at the club. It doesn't even involve breaking the bank to improve one or two positions and get another couple in as cover.

Selling Best counts as selling "someone" when he isn't replaced. And Lovenkrands.
