  1. This. Unfortunatly. Ashley isnt totally stupid. He stopped the protests first time around by putting the club up for sale. When every thing had calmed down enough, he took it off the market and didnt show any ambition whatsoever. Had the protests continued early last season and got stronger, maybe he would have sold up. Everything stopped because he said he was going. He's thicker skinned now, his reputation went years ago, and he has next to nothing to lose. Calling him names and singing about him will do nothing unfortunatly. Short of someone attacking him or disrupting games, I don't see what will get him to go. Its a hard one though considering how well we are doing so far this season.
  2. For the pubs, i reckon we'll be going to them round the centre, then heading to a pub for away fans nearer the ground, assuming there is any. Probably just follow the Newcastle crowd when we get off th train.
  3. Was that the cup game when we invaded the pitch? Started by Paddy Conroy's old man iirc (And Mick ). Sounds like something like that. They also moaning about toon fans pelting them with concrete when they won the league or something.
  4. What happened in 74 by the way? http://www.forestforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=38289.0
  5. Yeah. Theres a train at 8.50 as well I think. Bit of a wait though.
  6. Booked trains last night. Hopefully its nt too hard to get back to the station after the game. Trains at 7.40
  7. Newcastle isn't the only gateway into Scotland you know. Its not much more than an hour past Carlisle. Glasgow is hardly lightyears from the North West clubs. Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen would be next to knock on the door. Heart for example can get 30000 for European games in Murrayfield. They've probably got more fans than a lot of Prem clubs. Playing in the SPL is hardly attractive for fans at the moment. Playing in the English system would boost crowds at the Edinburgh clubs if they could extend their grounds or play at Murrayfield.
  8. Too much of an issue is made out of it. Colour of skin shouldn't matter these days. If its true than only 80% of footballer in the leagues are white, then that's also down on the ratio in society. There are hardly any Asians in football either. If people like Ince and Barnes concentrated more on being good managers then they might stand more of a chance. Barnes especially has been truely horrific in both roles he's had, and he's hardly an enspiring person to listen to. Its no wonder he doesn't get many offers of work.
  9. I went to one of their meetings. Unfortunatly I won't be joining. Ive been a member of the Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust, who seem far more organised and know what they're doing than the Newcastle one.
  10. East stirling v Berwick for me
  11. What a couple of wankers. Mind, quite pleased with the time Sky gave over to talking about it.
  12. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!! Sky can fuck off! Have been looking forward to Sheff Wed since the fixtures were announced. Can they not put another team on ffs! We're on at a stupid time nearly every week. Sheff United and Preston have already been ruined as away days. What a pain in the arse!
  13. I would be amazed if they chose that shithole over the regional capital. I can see us both getting it, but no way would Sunderland be picked over Newcastle.
  14. Didn't know where to put this, and im not too clued up on the law but I was a bit annoyed on Saturday after buying tickets for the game in the Monument club shop. When I was buying tickets the woman selling them was letting people see the computer so they could pick where they would sit. All I needed to do was give them my postcode and my name. When I did that, my account info came up on the screen. However it wasnt just my name and address and what tickets I had bought in the past, my password for signing in on the online ticket sales system was also there for all to see. Not only could the woman selling the tickets see my password, so could all my mates as we were picking where we wanted to sit. Surely this isnt secure? I know the system they use is only like a shitty programme for the old BBC computers, but surely peoples passwords shouldnt be there for the worker to see, never mind anybody who could walk in and give my postcode and name? Ive helped out doing online sales in the past for something else and at no point could I get access to peoples passwords who were logging in to buy things. I didnt say anything at the time because the woman didnt know what she was doing. She ripped the barcode off one ticket and jammed another in the machine. Plus it wasnt too long until the game. Anyone know the law concerning this type of thing because it seems ridiculous to me?
  15. This is a VERY important game after Blackpool. We need a win. I'm a bit sick of people going on about kneejerkers on here as well. We've been tumbling for about 5 years now. There's nothing kneejerk about it. That said, I would rather be positive before the game.
  16. That's the most infuriating thing, it was an unncessesary loss. Yep. Thats whats so annoying for me. Barton seemed to be running the show and was taken off. Hughton didnt seem to make a good decision all night. Maybe starting Carroll, but thats about it. were you listening to radio newcastle, real fm or newcastle world ? barton seemed poor on radio newcastle. 5Live Extra. They were saying he was running the show about 5 mins before he went off. Geremi was getting plenty stick and Butt was hardly mentioned. Its near imposible for us to judge I suppose.

  18. We probably will, but weve basicially given ourselves no chance with taking anyone creative off.
