  1. Highlight of the game for me was the second goal. Slimani's (magnificent) header, Ayoze's flick and Ritchies goal. Thought the ref was a twat.
  2. Aye, great finish, and he gets a few flicks like that.
  3. Just me or does the ref seem slightly biased? Not what I expected to see. We seem to be giving them space and time at the back whilst they are pressing us quite quickly.
  4. I'll admit, in the past, I've questioned some of Rafa's decisions, esp. where Mitro was concerned in the early days, but after everything I've seen and learnt this season I can't doubt the man anymore. He see's 10 times what the average fan sees, his knowledge and understanding surpasses us all by a country mile.
  5. https://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:premier-league/form/matches:6/type:home-and-away Makes for very pleasant viewing, also shows how we're crying out for a goalscorer. Arsenal tomorrow - win or draw?
  6. This. They look nailed on atm.
  7. Superb! Where is this from mate?! https://www.gofundme.com/wor-flags-end-of-season-display From a lad called Matthew Reed. His grandad who was a big NUFC fan left him some money in his will and he's donated £1k of it to the display in his memory. That made me go "Wow!" Displays are class like. Keep it up, and kudos.
  8. There's a canny 3m compilation of him from just his Newcastle time, by CFCVideos. worldwideweb.youtube.com/watch?v=8hYpFOl3pfI
  9. Suspect this is true, especially considering he almost fell backwards after trying to push featherweight Gayle over.
  10. Around 26,000 posts ago. Riposte. Not really. The joke's on me if my near ten years of regular posting is less memorable than the decade old thread that started it. Ah, you misunderstood - I remember when you 'unlurked' and the original thread. Ergo it was a good riposte.
  11. Rafa is the man. Take a look at these tables - http://www.soccerstats.com/formtable.asp?league=england eg: Last 10 games (home and away) We are in 5th place. Relative form (PPG last 8 matches - PPG all matches = Relative Form), we're currently the best in the league.
  12. Went 5, we've a game in hand on several teams around us and our goal difference is better than all of them by some margin. I can see two wins and a draw in the final games leaving us on 45 pts.
  13. Fucking hell. Man United, Mourinho, and a squad worth over a billion spawning their way to a win against a team resting players ahead of a Champions League match - underdogs. You might want to examine your biases there? Serious question, did the Man U squad cost more than the City one? I'm completely bias, I fucking hate Mourinho, Man United, and their fans for exactly this sort of thing. Calling them underdogs in any situation is insane, their funds are as unlimited as anyone's. Its not insane at all. Man City are runaway winners of this league with a team assembled for (hundreds of billions) millions. So Man U have an expensive squad too, and I thought Mourinho got it completely and utterly wrong in the reverse fixture, he was made to look stupid with the tactics employed considering, but they were underdogs heading into this game by the sheer stats of this years league. I'm not so much interested in history but the now. In that context Utd were the underdogs and I was pleased to see any kind of dent in Man City's record this season. The only exception to my rules would be if Newcastle were involved. That's my bias.
  14. Aye, there was nothing lucky about either of their first two goals. Sanchez and Pogba were immense.

  16. Delighted personally, love it when the underdog wins and when you're playing City this season you are the underdog.
  17. Was that Stirling's shin there.
  18. Ok, I don't follow football as much as you lot obviously. I've been swayed by how nice he was about Robson pre match loss against us, and his, apparent, honesty/humility following defeat.
  19. I've regained a measure of respect for Mourinho, he's a changed man since the the pinnacle of his egotism when he sacked that Chelsea physio/Dr for doing what was right. How is he changed? You don't think he has a degree of humility to him now? He used to be so arrogant and adamant in his opinions. Seems far more mellow and considerate to me now like.

  21. I'm still tickled they have Souness and Bellamy sitting next to each other in the studio. NPW
