  1. Yedlin's been well under the standard you would expect of a premier league footballer tonight. Is that ok? I think you understood the wider aspect of my post without trying to be pedantic about an individual player. I recollect one moment where yedlin was the highest player up the pitch to receive the outball and we suddenly had 4 on 4. I also recollect a brilliant goal from Yedlin thanks to his desire and pace. One moment in time, even a 10-15m spell, doesn't equate to 'not up to standard for the league'.
  2. Think I'll have to stay out of match threads in the future, the amount of shit that gets talked about our players is literally depressing. One misplaced pass or tackle, an error in positioning or being a fraction to slow... He's shite Absolute rubbish etc. etc. The game is played at high energy and pace and of course errors happen. But its a match, a game, not a freeze frame analysis of a snapshot in time. We don't deserve to be behind, Song's goal was lucky, his close miss would have been sensational. Shelvey's pass at around 20m for Gayle was brilliant. Then the glancing header that hit the post. Sliding fucking doors, it could easily be us that are 1-0 up. There's a thread for Twitter Bollocks or whatever it's called, but the forum is taking on the aspect of the wider social media more and more. Calling an international rubbish and shite is just ludicrous, twitter jerk-off diatribe; and shouldn't be given a moment of attention.
  3. 100%. I watch and listen to SBR and Rafa and look at what we have now and weep. We had gold in our hands and let it slip through our fingers, for what? Interesting comparison. Sir Bob took us from bottom of the league to three successive top five finishes and the last 16 of the Champions League. But at that point, the vast majority of the posters on this site (as with many other supporters) thought he was an old git who had lost the plot and were clamouring for his dismissal. Rafa took us to 10th place, moved on to the Chinese League, and was mourned as a god. In Sir Bob's case, we really did have gold and didn't realise it. I don't think the evidence is quite as strong with Rafa. And you’re still here talking shite over 15 years later. Quite impressive really. Thing is he's claiming a few emotional retards with limited capacity for processing thoughts were the vast majority. The vast majority don't post that much.
  4. Bruce loses his place for manager of the year after this shitshow I guess, but other than that he's done an ok job. MOTY was just a step too far. Samptime29, Judge Holden and Butcher will still be defending him like. I wonder what Rafa's record was against Man City, oh forget that, looks like I'm obsessed with Rafa if I point that out.
  5. You're just confirming my initial statement. Try reading the thread from the start and the meticulous, and at times almost ruthless, decision making of Rafa in regards to communication, amongst other factors. End of debate from my side.
  6. Results have been much better than performances all season so when we get a poor result the good-will is non-existent. Which is fair enough imo. If there had been more performances this season like the one against Bournemouth last week then most people would be willing to forgive the odd off day, however days like today are far closer to the norm performance-wise. Yup. Also the collective media suck off of the fat lad has made me hate him even more. Reminiscent of Pardew etc etc. 100%
  7. Its a good article to be fair, just shows Pardew up for the charlatan he is. He blames ben Arfa for going out of Europe basically, but also how the players were playing for it despite the feeling from above - Ashley and Lamb-arse Fucker - that they shouldn't even be in the competition. For any Newcastle fan it exposes Pardew; but for any other reader, I don't know?
  8. Aye? So there's absolutely no way his lack of game time can't be down to the fact he's not good enough? Or poor attitude or anything else? It's can ONLY be down to the fact he's Japanese? Bizarre response, I never mentioned his racial heritage.
  9. Mathematically safe if Liverpool hold their lead against Villa. I think he meant in the grander scheme of things.
  10. He was touted as a very intelligent, hard-working player by a lot of reports when he signed. Yet even Rafa never found a use for him, without any further knowledge I can only put it down to language abilities? Definitely had an engine and decent feet.
  11. Mr Logic

    Nabil Bentaleb

Looking like recapturing some form. Better all-round player than Hayden and that's no disrespect to Hayden who has proved to be decent to slightly better than over his time here.
  12. 3-0 easy for City. Ignore, move onto next one.
  13. 5th in the table on current form, seem to remember a similar situation last season. https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=1
  14. I was groaning so much at that, playing foot tennis at the back cos neither have the confidence to play a forward pass. Wouldn't have that problem with Schar or Lejeune.
  15. Thought Bentelab and Krafth looked a lot more composed today. Was delighted for Miggy's goal cos last game he was useless apparently. Mentioned it already but really reminded me of the 3-0 start against West Ham, luckily we held out a lot better here and made it 4-1 rather than 3-2. Shelvey doesn't have the legs/stamina for this level any more, despite his obvious vision and passing ability, 28 now? Nathan Aké styling himself on Ruud Gullit? Brooks impressed me, decent player and Cook saved them an almost certain goal, solid defender.
  16. Soon as Gosling came on I though that's worth a bet. Twat.
  17. By the same token, to play devil's advocate, do you see why making a point of saying you'll keep it private has got the seagulls flapping their wings? I'd argue just saying he acknowledged the letter would have been suffice. The second you talk about 'keeping it private' it gives a connotation that there is vital information being shared. Fairly sure that's exactly what happened, only the 'private' comment was later in response to people wanting to know what the letter said. Absolutely right they keep it private AND I'm pleased they told us it happened.
  18. Was just going to say the same thing, (without the video). Some fucker even intimated Greg was looking for attention.
  19. Had a dream last night the news broke on TV - long awaited - completed. Felt great. I'm awake now though, back to crossed fingers and idle wishes.
  20. A big problem for us is how long it takes Dubravka to distribute a ball. He takes far too long, and for a team who’s supposed to counter attack, it takes away any opportunity of taking advantage of an outnumbered defence. Not a problem at all. Dubravka is frequently looking for an early release, either our players aren't alive to it or the oppo are covering too close too risk it.
  21. Football's nowt worth talking about but I reckon BT has done a much better job with the crowd audio than Sky. Its more muted and often on point with its cheers and boos. You can still hear groundstaff when they raise their voices - don't think I've heard a single comment from Bruce though.
  22. I switched from Main Even to Premier precisely because the fake crowd noise was horrific.
