  1. So it was. watch?v=-1GF5arqwqo 1m:29s I'd post it but I'm scared of Dave, sent me a nasty PM once.
  2. Could have whetted our appetite then 'gimp with one of yours. I was at that notorious 4-3 with Forest where half the Leaze's End emptied onto the pitch and ran at the Gallowgate. There was a lot more room in there after that. Getting pies hoyed at us from above at Elland Road. Turning the wrong way out of Highfield Road and nearly missing the bus back. I was about 14 and I remember this radge bloke shouldering his way past me, one little b+w kid in a sea of sky blue. Yes, I was scared. A goal by Supermac that was just breathtaking, can't even remember the opposition. Full volley into the top corner from a throw-in. Or so my memory says. The day Keegan was announced as player. We were down Bigg Market with the Chronicle hoardings, taking them into the bars to show everyone. Watching Rafa walk into St James' just before he signed up, that one will stick with me a long time I think.
  3. What's he done now? Absolutely nothing, he was very effective when he came on, should have started, him and Gayle up front and we would have won by a few. Effective, he did nothing of note and give it away a few times. I guess its just a case of whether the glass is half-full or half-empty. I saw him, as the lone outfield player, successfully maintain possession through clever use of the ball several times. I focused on that and you apparently focused on the times he couldn't do that through being surrounded or vastly outnumbered. But your attitude is so very different to what it was a year or two ago, I can't be the only one who sees that. You appear so cynical and negative in many of your posts and I don't know what has happened to you to change you so much. Having one of the biggest wum's on the board jump in agreeing with you doesn't actually enhance your case. (Well that's a fucked up quote, sigh) Sorry but I'm sick of the hype mitro gets for the little output he delivers. Shola at the same age was a better player and prospect imo. I'm sick of the stick Mitro get for doing absolutly nothing wrong, in limited outings, because of people's pre-defined opinions. Nail on head there. I see it so much on here. It's like a cultural meme that develops within the limits of the board and many find it easier to adopt that than use their own powers of discernment and observation. From someone who's lived through a few decades now I can say I'm honestly quite scared about what is happening to modern culture. Sound-bytes and consensus rules the day.
  4. Trouble with Colback, and I saw this in the 5-1 against Tottenham last day, is he's much improved under Rafa, but the weaknesses are still there and you will never take them out of his game because they are his upper limits. He's not going to get better, never will. He's slow to react and he's rash, he has limited awareness. He's not fast, he's not strong. He's not good enough but can still put a shift in.

  6. Delighted with another 3 points but I don't understand Rafa there. I was watching him whenever I could and he was telling them to sit deeper all the time. He gave Rotherham the space they needed and relied on our defence, the way I saw it, risky business.

  8. Bein Sports just showed the goal from about 6 different angles, Atsu turns away from scoring like it was just a training game. #Pokerface.
  9. It seems some players are more susceptible to a rotation policy than others.
  10. I was thinking similar when compared to now. Even the Rotherham support, all there to a man at the end and cheering that consolation like a comeback goal. All standing and packed in led to infectious crowd behaviour like, you just didn't want to miss a thing.

  12. Hahahahahahahaa! (Never doubted it ) The negative shite that comes out in this place when things don't look all rosey is fucking pathetic.
