His years playing upfront he was 1 in 2. Pretty sure I read that when he first signed. He previously used to play out wide, but that was at least three years prior to joining us. I think the very best he's ever managed over a full season is about 1 in 3. I don't think for one second he'd do as well as that in the PL. Anyway, who cares? Cisse and Perez are better players and better strikers. Scored a goal every 2.6 games in 2011-2012 season and a goal every 2.2 games in 2012-2013. Its hard to judge him as a striker here when he's never been given a chance up front. Granted he's playing like shit at the moment, but playing out of position for years can do that to you. Not when you factor in the games he played for us that season. Either way, he had 8 goals in France when he signed for us at the end of January. It doesn't bode well. 8 league goals in only 20 games though, which is an excellent record and does bode well IMO. Right now I certainly wouldn't be looking to start him up front (or anywhere else) because he looks shot and we have Perez. Just saying that before he joined us his recent record was 1 in 2 and its pathetic that Pardew never gave him a chance up top for us.

If he somehow won us the FA Cup (never mind the Champions League) I'd take back everything I've ever said about him. But he won't, he's a fucking fraud, and a few wins doesn't change that. It only shows that we do have good players here. Players that are too much for the majority of sides in this league if they're played in their correct positions.

Most people on this forum have probably seen him at U21 level. Their are plenty of worse players than him that have played regularly in the Premier League as well. Not sure if he's good enough to be useful to our first team going forward, but I won't right him off yet.

Looks quite intelligent IMO, good first touch and passes it quickly, plays good one two's and generally makes the right decisions with the ball. Hasn't been anything outstanding, but played quite well linking up with the likes of Vuckic.

Had a couple of chances earlier where he hit it quite quickly, since then he seems to have decided he's not allowed to shoot.

I'd add Campbell to that personally, Satka's also looked good but Stoke haven't exactly been testing him.

Everyone knows he has a questionable attitude at times. Otherwise he wouldn't have been here and certainly nowhere near Hull. People on here just know how fucking brilliant he is to watch when he's allowed to just attack rather than being asked to sit deep and defend and rightly think he should be able to entertain like that every week. Don't see that as bias personally.
