That would explain why he's still here. I hope that shut's Ronaldo up who always say he wasn't on anything near that All depends on how much you think a Journalist might know... Kezman? I'm telling you now, not a chance he's on 90k, I know that for a fact. I remember people saying Martins wasn't on 90k, when I said he was. try and explain our 45M wage bill in the championship then

Chelsea are titles challengers and their backing and facilities are shit Plenty of Russian resources though.

How much time did you waste typing up that inaccurate summary?
-
Not the first time, remember his against united

The idea is for NUFC to spend on NUFC. There's plenty of money their if the costs are reduced and those costs should start coming down drastically pretty soon IMO (as past transfer debts are cleared).
-
He's still been involved in 30 first team games for Everton (20 of which where during last season), he was an Everton squad player not a reserve..
-
Why should we take any notice of him?, he's not the coach, Alan Shearer is.
-
You're talking about him as if he's played a couple of top flight games or something, he's played 30 games for a top 6-7 club over the last 2 years (20 last season alone) scoring 6 goals. He's a decent Premiership player who might make it as a very good player, to say he might not even make it in the Premiership is way too negative IMO.

Wrong. If he only plays a few games another club won’t match his wages and we’ll be stuck with him until his four year contract expires. Won't match his wages?.. the lads not on 50k you know. In fact he's supposedly on between £20k to £25k, even some Championship clubs can afford that. Why would they pay it for lad who can’t get game for us? Not that I’m saying he won’t, that was somebody else’s conjecture. Well because their are worse teams out there then us obviously. Like I said plenty of Championship sides can afford £25k a week and plenty of them would be delighted to sign some of the players we regularly put on the bench. Not that I expect this to be an issue, I'd be very shocked if Gosling isn't at least as good as Guthrie.

We've signed a 20 year old (for nothing) who played 20 games for Everton last season. A player that Moyes wanted to keep, and he's not on a big wage either.

I'm betting they'll both over rate Nolan and Barton.
-
Lots of goals against in games always effect a team goal against column. What I mean is, take those two games out, or leave them at more modest 4-0 drubbings, and their stat looks more in line with other teams around them. Alter the two worst beatings teams around them took to make them less severe and they'd be back at second worst.

He'd probably be open to a loan to just about any Premiership club willing to offer him first team Football.
-
Flamini doesn't get a game at his club and is apparently available on loan, no idea why its so unbelievable to some people, its unlikely but not impossible.
-
I really don't rate Nasri. Nasri is 20 to 25 times better than this idiot. Just a slight exaggeration there
-
Wouldn't say its wishful thinking, its the same thing people were saying about him when he was still with us. I also think most people accepted that he had all the physical attributes and knowledge to be a good player. But his mental weakness meant he couldn't be relied upon in pressure situations and that made him a bit of a shit player.
-
It could also come down to the length of contract he's after, I mean if he wants a 2 year contract we'd be crazy to offer it to him.

Its based on top speed rather than acceleration, Lennon is very quick off the mark but I'm not sure he's that fast over any reasonable distance.

Oh please.. How about selling Taylor to bring in something we need much more?, a good striker. Taylor's our third choice center back at the moment and even the ancient Campbell would be ahead of him. While in principle I agree that could be a good solution, we'd probably not get to see any money from a transfer so it's a bit redundant. Based on what? Mike Ashley We've broken even on transfer in both our Premiership seasons under Ashley. Yes but that got us relegated and lost us money, surely even hes not stupid enough to continue that strategy... Possibly, my point was there's no reason to believe any transfer money we generate won't be made available for incoming transfers. Also while I think it was a mistake to be so conservative in the transfer market I wouldn't say that's what got us relegated.

I'm not one of those bawling about how we're "not gonna spend any money!!!" 'n all that, cos i think we will invest, though moderately. If we did do that (put all the Taylor money right back into the squad), then it would be great. But we will get a decent fee for him if he were to go... i can't help but think atleast some of it would go straight into the bank, rather than the transfer kitty. But we're speaking hypothetically here, and i honestly think it's irrelative. Personally i don't think Taylor will go, i think Hughton will convince him to sign a new contract. It's common knowledge that Hughton likes to have an army of defenders, which is why he loaned two of them in back in January. I didn't see that coming at the time but i wouldn't say it's a bad policy. PVA and Hall were extremely useful in the end. If we sign Campbell, it'll be to fill out the squad - which badly needs doing if we're going to survive. Fair enough, I just think that considering Ashley's track record with us in the Premiership we'll probably be breaking even on transfers.

Four. And Roeder thought he was too old then. Christ, I remember him saying that. Makes me worry even more. Roeder's opinion on a player makes you worry?, why?
