We've just basically gone back to where we were pre 92/93, a yo yo club with no ambition. How do either of you manage to drag yourselves out of bed in the morning? Pre-season hasn't even started yet let along the season itself and already you've got us down as a struggling yoyo club for ever more.. For all you know in a couple of years time we might have stayed in the Premiership and paid off the staggering sums of money we still seem to be paying every year for past transfers (something that seems to be crippling what should otherwise be a pretty luxurious budget in comparison to most Premiership clubs). In which case we'll be able to invest without going back into debt.

As opposed to England looking dreadful against poor sides? We still looked better today then Ghana have all tournement, we're inconsistent, Ghana are consistent...ly poor.

They always have something to play for, they'll want to win the group like any other team. The difference is if they'd won today they'd probably only need a draw to win the group. I want Slovenia to need to win, makes then easier to break down. If Ghana win, the prize for winning Group C could be a nice knockout game against Germany. You don't have to be scared of Slovenia to realize that it's preferable to play a team who don't need a result. We can't look at things based on who we don't want to play "lets finish second because Ghana might finish top", we don't even know for sure who will finish where, we should just be looking to win the group. As I said Slovenia will never have nothing to play for IMO, all that can change is what they have to play for, and I'd feel much more comfortable if they had to come out and play us. Obviously we disagree.

Why?? I just explained it. If Slovenia win, then they have qualified. They will have nothing to play for against England who (let's assume for now) hopefully have 4 points. The only prize they would get for beating England would be a potential game against Germany. England would only need a draw to go through, and potentially avoid Germany. That's just negative IMO, we should be looking to win this group not hoping for results that let us come second. Also I'd much rather Slovenia need to win and come out and play against us then be happy to put everyone behind the ball and go for the draw.

Isn't a draw the worst result for England? Really don't understand this idea that a draw is a bad thing like

Because you play on "against the odds" passion and effort, whenever you play a smaller name its much harder to get up for the game and there's very little real quality to fall back on. No offence.
