lol most of the Premier League are better than Celtic I hope that's sarcasm. You think Celtic would be one of the top teams in the Premiership?
-
Better than I thought
-
What's his record last season?
-
Yeah you probably only have to add another zero on to get Xisco's record last season.

Nicky Butt MkII.

Would love to see us buying over the hill players on scandalous wages for a change........ If his other option is Blackburn then he certainly won't be getting big wages. You say about the club paying Gamst £55k a week. Yeah that's the point though, they're wage bill is utterly out of control. £46m wage bill with a total club turnover of £51m, they're not going to be offering big wages to anyone unless they can move people on.

See attachment: season 08/09. I'm sure many, including myself, said we'd be 'absolutely fine' last time. Not alot has changed, in fact some of the shit (Hull and Pompey) have gone too. Most people thought it was idiocy to be confident of promotion at the first attempt last season. Absolutely loads has changed by the way. I'm not delusional enough to think that the Championship is at all indicitive of the Premiership but the fact is we have a team now and a permanent manager who's doing well and isn't about to fuck off. Also the team is more balanced then last time IMO, the addition of Routledge makes a real difference for us and is something we didn't have in 08/09.

Routledge does cross well, to be fair. He occasionally puts in a sweet ball but is very inconsistent with his crossing. There were times during the season season when he was under no pressure at all yet messed his cross up. It was infuriating at times, as it's clear to see he can deliver a good ball but those balls don't come often enough. It's one thing I'd really like him to try and improve on during the summer because it could be invaluable for the team as a whole. Ocassionally is harsh, very harsh. He's an awful lot better at crossing than Jonas, for instance. Routledge is "ocassionally" to Jonas' "never" tbh. In reality though Jonas does occasionally put in a good cross, so by your reasoning you have to admit Routledge does it more then occasionally

Based on what?
-
Maybe so but not compared to Routledge. Routledge has had one very good top flight season as well Similar players, Phillips is a bit better, not worth signing though.

If we got the £8m being bandied about for Taylor would you honestly think we'd need to spend more to replace him?
-
Doesn't look real to me, the bages look pasted onto the image.

They are like.

I won't be over the idea of that top by the morning
-
Just wondering why you're bothered that your post was on its own page, as if people wouldn't realise the up arrow was pointing to the previous post because its on another page I'd be fucking furious if that top was real by the way
-
^ Are you high?
-
Fucking horrible, just like the current excuse for a Football top. Its fake like, but if this was the real top you'd have to question the process that goes into making them. I'm sick of the same shitty traits of black felt boxes and shit designs. Is it Northern Rock that has too much influence or does someone at the club have too much input and absolutely no taste? Its not as if its expensive to make something like this http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/5241/newcastle10.png (which is absolutely class, I'd buy 2, seriously) Its definitely not a real top AFAICS but if it ends up looking like that I won't be buying one.

Championship transfers are very rarely a bargain to be honest, I'd bet we'll be looking around Europe more then in the Championship.

Don't see why his wages would be any problem. He'll be on no more then Smith or Nolan and probably less. No idea about the fee though. Possibly not, but it seems that Ashley is trying to keep a cap on the wages of incoming players. My hunch is that Jenas is currently getting more than that cap, and he wouldn't want a pay cut. In any case, I don't think Jenas would want to come back. He wasn't exactly a fans' favourite. The whole wage cap thing is a rumour. I mean I certainly hope they've got some kind of structure with a ceilling for the overall wage bill and guidlines for contract offers to stop things getting out of control again. But I don't believe the talk of a £30k (or whatever it was) wage cap.

Its ok in some ways, just a bit tacky IMO, the short sleave one's brilliant though, I'd buy at least two of those
-
Yeah its been posted a few times, nowhere near as nice as this sexy fucker though IMO: http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/5241/newcastle10.png God I love that top, lets get it made, its petition time

so you don't hate him. you hate the adulation he gets which is nothing compared to what shearer gets who didn't do half as much for us as quinn has for them. (thats was for all those ready to go'ers looking in) Do you really think they're stupid enough to fall for that nonesense?.. oh yeah they are.

Been looking online at season tickets. I wanted one in the level 7 balcony but its £543 which seems a bit steep, so I might get one in normal level 7, found one for £330 (not a restricted view or something is it??). I went to about 15 games last season and it was usually £20 per ticket in level 7.
