I went into to watching the highlights expecting to see a string of great saves. He made one really good save, one decent one and the rest were straight at him.

He was the only player in our defence trying to make decisive passes and made quite a few excellent ones to our front players, as well as some nice short passing. He got some wrong as well, but shit passing? Also can't remember him losing all these physical challenges.

All reducing the revenue streams will do is reduce the funds available for players & reduce chances of him finding a buyer. They really are a bunch of deluded, self-important thick fuckers. If people have a problem with the third line, try answering the first two? He put £100m extra in because he failed to do his due diligence. His fault. And sadly indicative of the unprofessionalism that was to follow in his running of the club. Is why he did it really relevant? I don't believe anyone's claiming he's given the club money because he loves us. The point is money has gone in not the other way around.

I've got a lot of respect for people who have turned up to the meeting. However I agree it seems to be all about what can be done to remove Ashley, what can be done to hurt Ashley. As for knowledgeable, not one of them seems to realise that the ones robbing this club blind are the likes of Smith, Viduka ect rather then Ashley. Weather that's because none of them realise or none of them want to say something that defends Ashley I don't know. Of course that doesn't mean I've got a problem with the meeting or anything there.

I'm certainly no fan of Ashley, I had the suspicion myself that he was sitting on club money and said as much on here, until I saw the accounts. But now they've been made public its time to put that to bed, the whole "it all goes in his pocket" thing is a myth.

Doing the maths, on a £600 season ticket isn't the VAT saving about £13 a year, i.e. about £1 a month? The admin cost of sending back the £1 would outweigh the refund, surely its a bit daft asking for this back? Don't think they have to send it back per month like, they'd send back the full amount for the time the new tax rate is in place in one go. Still not going to be much though.

i'd also say they have a pretty coherent game plan, a settled/balanced side and a manager who knows what they are doing. we all know stoke city are s*** but they have certain strengths that they play to and they make a half decent fist of it. we have more quality (when players are fit) but there's no overall vision, our squad is an unbalanced mess, a hodge-podge of signings from different managers or even scouts that doesn't really amount to a team. Stoke have tactics. Yes, they're really horrible to look at, but they have a game plan. As do West Brom and Hull Yeah they've got a game plan, and more fit players then us, but like someone just said its points that matter and both Stoke and West Brom are still below us.

Those agreements have to be made before the paperwork is sent.

So why was every other deal done the same day as the deadline while the Arshavin deal was only finished a full day later? I can't remember any other deals being finished a day later.

It was worse. I remember Keegan taking Newcastle to Roker Park and they huffed and puffed for 90 mins but we picked them off and won 2-1 because we had class players like Ginola and Beardsley and they had a team of Kevin Nolans. This time they had Cisse and Jones, we had carroll and Shola. Difference being they had a team of Nolans because that's the best their squad had to offer. We did (well actually we didn't really but anyway) because we have 6 or 7 important first team players out, as well as some less important backup players.

I stopped reading after the first two paragraphs. What happened to the Milner money, it was spent before Milner was sold. Now I'm not saying that's acceptable, to sell a player with promises of a replacement only to use the money to cover previous transfers. But its a fact that we didn't make a profit from that window.. Also we did try to bring in the replacement but failed, incompetence fair enough, but not profiteering. What will happen to money brought in through season tickets?, it'll go on our insane wage bill, have they not seen our accounts or do they simply not understand them? Now I'm as annoyed as anyone that we haven't managed to use that excess transfer money to strengthen the team further. I'd even understand if they were to say that Ashley should have been looking to spend whatever it takes to keep us up regardless of financial problems at the club, because relegation is unthinkable. But all this rubbish about money from transfers and season tickets "disapearing into a big black Ashley shaped hole" is so childish I just can't be bothered to read the rest.
