Shearer at 25, right..... Shearer was one of the best strikers in the world at the time so **** off. Read him again - he's saying Shearer needed to be offloaded earlier than when he was 34, not that he should've been when he was 25.

A freshish start. It'll be interesting to see him operate in his new environment. He's always blamed the Robson sacking on them - he wanted to support him, supposedly. Also, while even a broken clock can be right twice a day, it did look like he'd made a reasonable decision in bringing Allardyce in - as though he'd learnt old lessons and knew we needed a new approach given our financial situation at the time. Still, there are some fucking magnificent reasons for getting straight on him. Remember the Hitzfeld 'betting scam'?

It's a very versatile name

I agree - every away game will be a bloody Cup Tie An opportunity to learn, then!

Part of me does just to see how fucking mental this club can get. You know, like just doing it for the fun and fame. Anyone ever done painting when they were a kid - a nice picture - which you then messed up with a few wrong-coloured dribbles, which pissed you off, so you just started randomly throwing whole pots of paint at the paper before setting fire to it and stamping on it and things? Kind of like that.

Trouble is, as has been said, they've not got a great reputation for their cost-benefit analysis skills following on from January (and September, October, November etc...).

bluelaugh.gif I love people sometimes.

Not to make out like he's a colossus or anything, but I don't understand how he sired those children of his.

Not that we're generalising of course. Just stating facts Could you give a bit more detail on these run-ins you mentioned? Were they akin to that time Joey Barton made remarks about our negativity which, as they were fairly valid, were taken on board by people? It's just that, as people were saying, when you're Maldini at Milan, I'm inclined to think you should be able to have a frank discussion with supporters because you've been together so long.

I think I'm gonna put a forum filter on 'talksport' and all derivative terms. Happens every time, as people say - just a set of industry reject rent-a-wums.

? What have you done to prove your anger? I'll mark it from one to fucking ten. Don't quite get where you're coming from on this, but if you're wanting the number of how many windows I've smashed today, then I'll freely admit I've done bugger all - would be a bit wasted seeing as I'm down in London at present. I'm talking about the fact that, going on the pubs, telly* and other experiences I've picked up today, I've mainly seen apathy, dejection and, worst of all, acceptance. The kind of response you'd expect to the respectable efforts of WBA's governors. Our case, however, is a travesty. A self-inflicted disgrace. My point is we frankly should be a fucking sight more accusatory in the circumstances. The board ought to be rattled as a result of this, but it looks like they've already gotten away with it to me. All this chat about the 'city's rage being stored up for after the season finished so as not to spoil the support' - ok, now's the time, where was it? Where is it? Shy of something very surprising indeed happening, this is the last time you're gonna get more than a handful of fans together until August, or whenever the hell Division 2 kicks off now. Chance missed. I've seen spite on this message board, but it hardly counts - it's as easily written as it is ignored, and with all due respect to the individuals in question, half of them are foreign. I'm of the view we should have been making as much if not more noise after the whistle than we were before. Even if we don't feel like it we should be stirring ourselves to display the depths of our sentiment - at the moment it's more like we're a big, dumb idiot taking clumps and not responding. As for marks, take care of yourself. *Edit: Defiance, the unremitting support for the club that was on display in spite of events is all well and good - it's great in fact - but that wasn't all that was required. There's a time for straight-forward, unadulterated support, but if an edge isn't added where its needed, you end up like a battered wife, getting treated as a 'reliable' beast of burden - taking misery and giving money to whichever set of shitheads run this place.

Bastard.

The people I'm encountering don't seem angry enough.

JEEEZUZ! Thats rich coming from freddy Shepherd. Absolutely. The longer Freddie stayed in the job, the worse he became, and the prime reason was he would never learn. Whenever something went wrong, it would be someone else's fault and the solution was always to acquire more power for himself. To me with the appointment of Allardyce and the admittance for a more prudent approach showed that he had realised his past mistakes. Yes, I always saw it as a kind of final act of redemption. He'd finally learnt from his mistakes and, with death approaching, he chose to walk towards the light. Well done him. Thing is, he wasn't supposed to come back, the fucking zombie.

The gayest video in the world. What a set of homs. It's like the John Barrowman edit of the Ministry of Silly Walks sketch.

Had this idea of 'Now fix this disgrace' if we stay up. But if we go down... what words can express?
-
Well, I anticipated a 2-1 win... They had to score at some point...........................
-
Turns out they have indeed - they're also sponsored by 188bet...
-
Should've supported the club and waited until the 18th
-
Nor Did Everton If I remember they went out to some Bulgarian's didn't they? Good point. Hadn't bothered to think about them - got too screwed up with our downfall... Further to that, they didn't break the hold of the big four insofar as that was the season we had five teams in, following Liverpool's CL victory.
-
Strictly speaking... we didn't qualify, did we? Bowyer, Belgrade and Shearer & co. missing penalties. Still, stupid pedantry. Bugger...

Not saying you're saying what I'm about to criticise, but IF we stay up, we have to remember to remain fucking furious. 16th is not a magnificent achievement. The 'joy' would be very short-lived. Admittedly, this is a pretty special situation we're in, even by our standards, but we've done it before (Souness ovation etc.). Any applause etc would be purely for Shearer. Misinterpretation agogo. A banner aimed at Ashley saying 'Now fix this disgrace' would do the trick.
