Trying to avoid this conversation being overly PSR-driven...... But I agree we probably wouldn't get much at all for him.
-
He's still the king of that in our club.
-
Now or in January? Now - not really, no (depending on any incoming). January - happy isn't the word, but it could be the way to make the best of our circumstances.
-
Yeah. Whatever else is the case about him, he's a professional trader in this world so there won't be any panicking.
-
Oh I expect so. I just mean in the first few games e.g. Southampton - if it's 1-1 with 20 minutes to go I could see him not wanting to put Osula in the position of leading the line when he's only just got here.
-
If Osula is coming good we'd probably move him on even without a replacement if we could.
-
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Eddie still uses Gordon as Isak's replacement for the first half dozen games or so. And I wouldn't blame him, either - Osula will have had very little training with us, so I could see him wanting not to rush anything more than necessary, with a view to the long term.

Our interviewers really know how to hang a young kid out to dry "So Will, I understand you're single. Obviously you'll know all about the famous nightlife here in Newcastle. Have you got any churches in mind for where you'll eventually get married?"
-
The irony is my abiding memory of him is him nearly having his leg broken by a Brentford player about ten minutes into our win there when he was still on loan. Could see his shin bounce the guy's boot off and put them down to ten men. Targett played the rest of the match well, of course. Thought he was such a dependable player that day. Would never have expected it to turn out like this.

Floating an idea - a deal linked to Bowen coming the other way?
-
Jesus, I wouldn't recognise him. We're getting old lads...

Appreciate the intentions of the thread, although I don't think people should be too optimistic about PSR talk no longer turning up in other threads as it's too integral. PSR IS football now. Not much off pitch stuff can be understood without it. I certainly understand why people are pissed off all conversations end in the same place. It's the fault of the authorities, and PSR needs to go.

A lesson in self-sufficiency for you all

100% agree. I'm against transfer windows altogether, but if they're going to exist, having them end weeks into a new season is totally stupid and unnecessary.
-
I agree they will/ought to be relatively well integrated into the goings on at the club. They won't be as cut off from other club operations as some appear to think.
-
In fairness to Maxi I think he was getting there under Howe. But I don't think his body could physically stand up to what was being asked of him.
-
We shall see I know nothing, but still feel confident this one is happening all things considered.
-
Or even Sky trying to bait people into thinking something interesting's happening so they jump on the bandwagon.
-
Isn't stopping people fretting in his thread, mind.
-
I agree it could actually strengthen the brand, and the kind of things that are going on are rotting its foundations. But I don't think the functionaries at the PL etc. will actually see it that way themselves.
-
Think it's just a 'business as usual, if you want him you'll have to pay' thing. In fairness, you could say the thing about our recent Gordon posts...
-
Hypothetically, yeah I think that's the way to go. Not ideal, but our right is weaker than our left.
-
I was literally about to post that I can see where everyone is coming from, basically. Although, if that pass he put through in the five minutes of football he got against Slovakia(?) wasn't creative, I don't know what is.
