I see a good win. We tend to do well in our crunch matches against conventionally big teams.
-
Biggest surprise was Harrison Ashby getting name checked.
-
Didn't hear him say it myself, but I guess it would make sense that he isn't seriously involved in low cost youth signings. Unless he overperforms, I don't think Harrison is meant to be in our first team squad for a couple of seasons yet.

Fair enough Eddie. Not sure why it's taken so long to say something like this because I think the kid could've done with some earlier protection in the media, but fair enough. Well, as we were saying the other day, before now he's just been dodging those questions, so it is a big change of approach.
-
As I understand it he wouldn't have been personally picking players, but he would've had authority to set the parameters Steve Nickson and his team would work to re: age, price, profile etc. as their boss. So it would shape the kind of choices that were eventually set before Eddie and co. Can't say for sure ultimately, time will have to tell.

Laurent Charvet and Franck Dumas.

I don't think we should be obsessing about this alleged £100k wage figure. There's nothing solid to support it being true.
-
If there was a problem with having hired him, it would be on the board to be honest. Can't pin everything on Eddie.
-
Yeah, exactly. He had to either score the goal of the season by hitting it first time with his left, or do nothing useful and let the goalkeeper collect it, which is what happened. With a right foot it would've changed up the options a lot - it would've been less amazing but much more effective. Looking at it again, you could argue that Gordon should've been more alert for a first time low cross, but then again he may have known there was zero chance of that happening without a time delay for the inevitable cutback.
-
Supposedly you just need the phone number nowadays
-
Eh? It's a pretty big stick. It's not a moral fault that he can't use his right foot more than twice a season, but it is a footballing fault. His one-footedness means he has to achieve the spectacular, as at Fulham, or he achieves nothing.

Looks like you've got yourself a date with IKEA for the next few weekends.
-
Tried to sign him for Bournemouth before he came here. Which goes against the racist Eddie narrative.
-
Yeah, the consistency of his finishing specifically. I thought he would be this good at it next season, and a bit more erratic this time around. Best part is I think he's got quite a lot more improvement to come on that side of things. I think he'll be properly feared one day.
-
He's been fighting a one man war. It hasn't been perfect, but it has been very impressive. I think he tries to save himself for big moments in the game. He knows he can't do it all the time. I think the first goal was perfect for him as it was early in the game, there was a big opening and he was clearly vital to it succeeding i.e. he burnt up maximum energy.

I don't think so, but does anyone have more detail on what the claim is? Wouldn't it mean we could wipe off Tonali etc? Wouldn't it have to apply across the length of the player's first contract, not just their first season? Surely Hall's first season with us would be next season seeing as he's currently still a Chelsea employee on loan? It doesn't make sense.

Yeah, Jamie Redknapp after his assist for Joelinton at West Ham.
-
Hope he does get his body sorted out, whatever is wrong with him. There were times yesterday where he reminded me of Ameobi, he was so lumbering on the turn. Felt bad for him to be honest, as I know he's a lot more than that - think of the assist for Murphy at Everton - so guess he's playing through a lot at the minute.
-
Didn't watch the match fully yesterday so can't comment too much, but we looked much more cohesive and I'm really pleased we had a plan beyond being first to every ball. A bit of absorb and counter attack proved to be really effective, which is really all I've been asking for.
-
All would be forgiven if it were true
-
Keeping an eye out for whenever relegation is mathematically impossible, personally.
-
Never really knew why Acuna didn't get more chances in midfield.
-
Think he got a big clout on the back of the head from the goalie's knee after scoring which dazed him for a bit. Nearly a different kind of stone cold
-
Think it's more the recovery stage Anderson's at. Due to the nature of his back injury there wasn't much strength and conditioning he could do for many months.
