This. I always think back to the cup final. The Barnes link up with Tino was brilliantly done for the cross to come in. If Gordon had played there's no way that second goal happens. Gordon would have cut inside and ballooned the ball way off the top, as he has done so many times.

Just an update. 🙂 The Back Page have taken the whole collection yesterday. Weight off me mind and hopefully people will get lots of enjoyment from them. Now clearing out a load of shirts that I've had since new and are all in good condition, apart from a musty smell from being in the loft for the last 6 years. Hi all. Wasn't sure where to put this but here goes. Got a house move happening in the next 2 to 3 weeks and due to lack of room for storage I've decided to let my programme collection go. Proper gutted but there simply isn't the room. There are 1300+ in Football, with also 700+ Speedway and 27 Ice Hockey with over 100 Miscellaneous booklets/magazines. The football collection started around 1964 covering Newcastle and non-league with South Shields, though there are earlier dates including Chelsea v South Shields in both 1925/26 & 1926/27 seasons If there's anyone who wants the lot just drop me a DM but will have to be first come first served. Remember going to Maine Road in January 1975 and saw probably the best goalkeeping performance in all my time going to matches. Willie had a fantastic game and whatever Man City threw at him he was equal to it all. Came away with a 2-0 win in the cup. Weirdly, was back at the league match two weeks later, with exactly the same starting 11 and lost 1-5. 😲
