  1. My first match was home to Leicester City on New Year’s Day 1973 and in those days Supermac was partnered with Hallelujah John Tudor. Good days even though we won nothing. Macdonald was so fast, strong and could score with either foot and powerful header of the ball. Weaknesses? Was bandy-legged and in the 3-3 draw at Bolton in the cup, might have blocked the Bolton equaliser if his legs had been straight. ???
  2. Thanks so much for these. The videos in those days were really well done. Really appreciated. ??
  3. Also remember watching the away match at Liverpool at the City Hall. Great times. ?
  4. Works at our place. All to no avail though. ?
  5. We played QPR at home and were 2 down in the first 5 minutes, then 3 down after 70 odd minutes. The crowd streamed out, and we scored 2 in the last 10 minutes so anyone late in and left early missed 4 goals. That was the day I swore I’d never leave a match before the end. ??
  6. Best thing about Sunderland? The road out of it. ?
  7. Whoa Nowt wrong with being a fat, scruffy slob. I excel at it. ?
  8. Seem to remember at the time Dyer had the problems with shin splints, there was also a mention of tests for sickle cell.
  9. 2nd September 2012 1-1 at home to Aston Villa Villa went ahead through a certain Ciaran Clark before Ben Arfa scored a belter.
  10. Had the yellow with green trim Bukta shirt bought at Stan Seymour’s shop on the corner of Market Street about 1977-ish. Few years ago I spent a few nights going through boxes in he loft looking for it, knowing I’d put it up there. Wasn’t until weeks later the wife admitted she’d thrown it out. Proper gutted. Needless to say, she’s nee longer me wife. ?
  11. Long winded but ManU supporters getting their points over.
  12. Went the Odeon a few times. Remember watching the away game at Liverpool at the City Hall. Great times. ?
  13. Even the ref applauding. ?
  14. Ha ha I said last night I wonder how many of the four Hebburn snap up! Phil Turnbull works for the same company as me and works shifts so can understand him not wanting to commit. Think Hebburn would be a good move for him. ?
  15. Four canny players have become available. Would Hebburn fancy a dabble? https://southshieldsfc.co.uk/club-statement-transition-to-full-time-training-model/
  16. My first away game that 1974 cup match. Totally hooked after that. ?
  17. Watched City v West Ham earlier and saw 2 managers on the touch line interacting with their players. Not a lip lick in sight.
  18. Went for next week to go through cos it’s my turn to say it’ll be on me birfday.
  19. Good to see they do a marquee size then. One of the lads I work with went to school with Bruce. Apparently as a kid he was known as bent nose.
