Howay, man. It was shite today but we've still gained a point on Spurs (again, somehow), and matched Brighton/Chelsea's results. Man Utd have to go to Leeds and get something, Liverpool have the Merseyside derby with Everton's tails up. It's not like anyone in the mix is putting in the performances/results that makes you certain they'll finish above us. Even Arsenal are dropping points now.

Not the first rumbling I've heard that we'll wear the third kit, just checking to see if there's anything more in it.

What would people do moving forward? I'm not expecting anything drastic before the cup final, but if we don't beat Liverpool and we lose the final, how would people attempt to salvage things with the squad we've got? Pope; Trippier, Schär, Botman, Targett; Bruno, Joelinton; Almirón, Isak, Gordon; Wilson in a 4-2-3-1 / 4-4-1-1 / 4-4-2 sort of thing, for me, assuming everyone was fit.

The moment for the goal salvaged what was otherwise a pretty average display, but it doesn't matter anyway because he's fucking injured again. That left side today, especially when Willock was on the pitch, was tragic.

Regardless of how bad he was in possession, and he was absolutely atrocious, he's failed to defend his zone again on a corner and, along with Trippier's poor marking, it's cost us a goal. However, if he deals with the ball on both occasions Trippier's fuck up doesn't matter a jot. Seems like the nicest bloke in the world, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to defend his performances.

Andy Cole, my first hero: Think I've shared this before, but the random bloke sitting in front of me turned around and kissed me on the lips when we equalised. He had a geet big moustache. I was 7. I was canny cute then, but still. Bit weird.

Is it just that you couldn't possibly make an argument to put Burn ahead of Botman now? So he either sees him as a left-back or as a substitute, and he's surely not going to say the latter. Would expect us to sign a top-class left-back over a left-sided centre-back to "compete" in the summer, personally.
