  1. Here: https://www.footballinsider247.com/leicester-city-sources-reveal-maddison-to-newcastle-united-update-today/ Very consistent reporting, their sources were canny in January though and Pete O’Rourke seems okay-ish individually.
  2. Loads. If they were as effective at long ball as that article makes out, you wouldn’t be totally surprised to see Lascelles and Botman starting. Surely we just back our best XI to beat them regardless, though?
  3. The Express ffs. Hardly unequivocal, either, “Leicester value Maddison at around £60m, and Newcastle may now move on to fresh targets.”
  4. 2 days. Good article on Forest’s approach here (free): https://12ft.io/proxy?q=https%3A%2F%2Ftheathletic.com%2F3474098%2F2022%2F08%2F04%2Fnottingham-forest-premier-league-cooper%2F%3Fsource%3Duser_shared_article.
  5. That top ten is pretty much how I’d have it. 4th and 8th being the most contested places, with three teams each that could easily finish there.
  6. Nah: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11040889/Newcastle-ask-Rennes-winger-Kamaldeen-Sulemana-having-rejected-Leeds-35m-ask-Harrison.html.
  7. He might be absolutely gasping to come, for all we know.
  8. Can Man Utd buy Sesko then loan him to us if he doesn't kick a ball for them?

    St James' Park

I did the maths once upon a time, but would extending the Gallowgate to L7 (if even still viable) add around another 7,000 seats if it just followed the exact way the Leazes is done?

    Here's the article
  11. It basically relies on Wilson staying fit right now, but there’s no way we don’t add more goals before the window shuts.
  12. “not quite comparable because it doesn’t suit my agenda”
  13. Still reckon we’ll go back with a third and final offer. They’ve either made this public to try and flush out more interest or it’s the agent doing similar. If it’s Leicester, they’re clearly open to a deal.
  14. We have to be aiming for 7th or 8th as a club, surely? Too many of the players have talked about qualifying for Europe for that not to be the target, even Howe almost let it slip in one interview. I think 10th is the absolute minimum based on last season. We’ve got a full season with Howe and the January signings, that’s going to make more of a difference to us than signing Maddison will. 5th sounds crackers, though, even if stranger things have happened. The top few teams just look far too strong.

Class interview, clearly going to be number one given how long Howe’s been after him.
  16. https://trainingground.guru/articles/dan-ashworth-why-brighton-have-a-36-year-old-in-their-under-23s Of course he pioneered this over here. Honestly we should not be at all worried about how we handle our business these days, I can’t stress it enough.
  17. This FFP stuff is surely just them trying to do the club a favour at this stage? It’s absolute nonsense that we could only have £40M *in instalments* to spend.
  18. Hope saying he hopes Wilson tweaks his hamstring against Forest because he thinks we should be spending £40-50M on a striker if that’s all that’s left. Dear me.
  19. Haven’t started talking about Newcastle yet
