  1. “Last weekend against Wolves, Ronald Zumba just looked at me in the middle of the match and said ‘what a stadium to play in’. It made me happy to be here." Loved that bit, cheers Ronald (Zubar).
  2. What a treat to wake up to this is. As others have said it only leaves Ba as the outstanding worry for me in terms of contracts and, like with Colo, I do think he'll sign up to stick around.
  3. Aye, it's addictive as fook. I'm a total mercenary, feel guilty keep forcing moves but I should be playing for England by now man.
  4. Totally agree, really can't understand the feeling that we "shouldn't" qualify for Europe because it might hinder us in other areas. Good management/organisation along with a bit of luck and it won't be an issue.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Probably the same morons who used to slag Robert to high heaven, to be fair.
  9. I appreciate people's disappointment and share some of it myself, but in fairness it's the same side that beat Man Utd with Cisse in place of Shola...

  11. I took it as meaning Dave has given up on you, this time around at least. I still find you adorable.
  12. Massively impressed with him every time I've seen him play, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see us linked. He's the type of player that could excel in a three with Cabaye and Tiote, too. As much as I like Guthrie, I'm not sure I would say the same about him.
  13. Felt guilty for wanting Zambia to win (mainly after the farce of the retaken penalty), such is my love for this young man. Loved that he stepped up first and put it home.
  14. Krul Simpson Williamson Coloccini Santon Gutierrez Guthrie Perch Ben Arfa Cisse Ba Won't happen in a month of Sundays, and perhaps rightly so, but I'd love to see it. Think it'll be this with Obertan/Jonas on the flanks, which still isn't too bad. Draw.

Demba said come play with me, Cisse, Cisse, We'll both score goals and then we'll pray, Cisse, Cisse, He flew one day from Senegal, He gets the ball and scores a goal, Papiss Cisse, Newcastle's number nine. Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, Papiss Cisse, Newcastle's number nine. "Gets the ball" line needs sorting, but surely the rest could work? With the re-emergence of "E-I-E-I-E-I-O" if we added a good version of this to the repertoire I would love it.

He really needs the Torres song adapting, as the tune sounds mint at full-whack (better words than the version on the previous page, ideally), but there are loads of simpler ones like the one above we could use as well: Papisto, whoa-oh-oh-oh, Papisto, whoa-oh-oh-oh, He comes from Senegal, He plays for Newcastle. Blatant Vieira rip-off like Let's just make up a hundred songs for him and sing them all. For a laugh.

  18. I'd agree with hoping for his absence, and would go as far as to say that King is the best English centre-half of this past generation. Such a shame (for England, fuck Spurs) that he's been blighted so heavily with injury throughout his career as I don't think he'd have had any trouble being ahead of the likes of Ferdinand and Terry otherwise. I do tend to think the same about Woodgate as well like - though I admit there's obvious bias on that one from his time spent here.
