  1. I'll be mighty surprised if 'Boro stay up this season.
  2. Can't say I've really noticed him either, though I rarely see Bolton play. He's versatile, but what's his best/preferred position? Mainly played centre-half last season, but was originally a defensive midfielder. Can also play right-back. I think this "best position" thing is something that Big Sam doesn't seem to buy into too much, which is fantastic to see when it's working. Obviously players can't play anywhere, but when you look at the bigger clubs they tend to rotate positions far more effectively than we ever have. It's been 4-4-2 or bust here for as long as I can remember and it's nice to see that changing, as much as anything else. He was excellent in the main against us on Saturday.
  3. Cannot wait for this game. The fact that we're at 4 pages already, with the game over four days away makes me think I'm not the only one. Good times already, imagine if Owen plays and we win! Seeing Enrique or Cacapa play would be a bonus, but hopefully we won't need them.
  4. Seconded. And he's been nowhere near as good as people are saying he has. Blinded by his previous shite, if you ask me.
  5. Couldn't Smith be classes as a right sided/attacking midfielder who's covering DM because we haven't got anyone else fit? Aye, sort of my point as well. It's Solano that we'd be replacing, not Dyer, and we're already loaded with attacking options. Diarra seems a very "Allardyce" sort of player, and the aforementioned Geremi/N'Zogbia links would work in our favour, I know that if we got him I'd be fucking delighted. Faye and Diarra in, even with Dyer and Solano out, still keeps the squad looking very, very strong. We would still be lacking a quality "specialist" right-back, though, and proper cover for left-back, but that's being extremely picky.
  6. I think Diarra's young enough to potentially play further up the field, he's only had to play at right-back for Chelsea because that's where they've been extremely thin. He looks a good enough player to play in a more advanced role, to me. When you consider the formation we look to be playing and the fact that Big Sam sees Martins as the RW/RM/RF (whatever you want to call it) as well as having Milner who could play there (as well as Owen and Smith?) I know we're not exactly short of central options either, but I don't see why we have to sign an attacking midfielder to replace Solano, who himself is a RB/RM (Smith's already replaced Dyer.) I'm tired out as well and this is getting confusing, but my basic point is that Diarra is so young/versatile he doesn't really have a position yet, nobody has said he can't play further upfield and that if we're replacing Solano we don't necessarily need to replace him with an attacking winger/midfielder when we have so many forward options anway.
  7. Not necessarily, when you consider Nobby and Dyer may be on their tricycles.
  8. Big Sams dietician won't be happy when they go to training tomorrow Stevie Taylor in the cinema for Rush Hour 3 munching on popcorn and nachos as well. Disgraceful.
  9. True. But Geremi "can play" right-back, Solano "can play" right-back, Taylor "can play" right-back. I'd sooner sign a permanent, established right-back rather than someone who can simply just play there. My thoughts exactly, but I'd love Diarra here as well. Massive mates with Geremi, too, so it's not entirely unlikely if he doesn't go to Arsenal. Beye would seem ideal, if we can get him here.
  10. Can we keep this to who we'd like to see at the club
  11. I'd have Phil Neville. Really.
  12. Diop can't play CB or RB as well as Faye can and hasn't worked under Big Sam before. How can you possibly say that?
  13. Delighted, can play right-back as well apparently if necessary. Exactly what we need. Everything coming together nicely, just a replacement for Nobby/Dyer if they leave and a new first-choice RB now please, Sirs.
  14. which lua lua was playing? Does Kazenga have a younger brother like? He does, doesn't he?
  15. Surely he means in the stadium, fan-wise? Or media-wise after the game? Or by us taking their manager and a massive chunk of their backroom staff?
  16. Nobby and Dyer out = Darren Fletcher in?

    Bramble's Latics debut

I felt sorry for the chubby bastard when I saw the MOTD highlights, he looked awful.
  18. i personally would of liked him to attempt to put a bid in for Craig Gordon, but when i mentioned it right at the start before the transfer window everyone laughed at me haha! £9M for a back-up 'keeper wouldn't have been the best idea, mind.
  19. ITV Text reckons they'll stay up and finish 16th, can't see it myself, but I wouldn't mind if they did.
  20. Fair play to Anal, like, seems he's found a story that isn't completely "wide of the mark".

    New 3rd Kit?

If it's nice-looking I'll actually get it, because I still dislike the other two and haven't bought either yet! I rest my case.
