Like Cazorla a lot, big money for a Spanish transfer though!!
-
Malaga looks like they might be playing exiting football this season. Have a soft spot for them and they have a large ex-pat support which makes games that little bit louder also...
-
Seems to me that Luke Edwards is Ashley's and Lambiaass' new mouthpiece...
-
I think we all forget the fact that Joey will be playing a lot of games out on the right or in a midfield 3 in a 4-3-3
-
Class bit of stuff if it had gone in. Mnacini must have been at boiling point...hahaha
-
The ben arfa "hidden fee" was paid from the AC transfer, apparently Mike and Decks had earmarked any future income to offset this transfer.
-
I'd love Pardew to come out with something like "Yes, Jose is right, these tight fisted CBs have no intention of spending the 35 million, all this waffle about hidden fees etc is just to placate the plebs... Jeeesus, it is so easy to see, are you all really that thick. On a more positive note I have to say, we have done great so far and if the crocks we have bought hold out we may be on to a winner, specially if fat boy or sneering sid can get rid of them next year at a higher price." Enriques tweet has certainly pushed me over to the anti-ashley side until proved wrong... Oh well, my knees may stand up to it!

I feel for the lad, I really do. To me it seems more like a case of them promising Enrique, and obviously quite a few others, that the money they got from the Carrol sale would be reinvested completely. Enrique follows this up by his refusal to sign another contract until it is demonstarted that they are telling the truth. Regretably, this is not the case, Newcastle have done a net spend of 0.5M and are looking to shift the crux of the team. He twits his grievances about this and I for one agree completely with him. Hopefully we will all be proved wrong and we will buy a striker to replace Carrol, a right winger likes of Nzogbia and a couple of defenders... Here's hoping!!

They looked immensley better than us according to that video...

They don't kill the chickens then...

Because a large number of them are financed by generous benefactors who are happy to throw money at their clubs? Like Stoke and Wolves? Aye, righto. Ok - I'll try again - other clubs weren't trying to correct years of negligent ownership that had created an 100% unsustainable business. Any other examples you'd like me to bat back? How long are you going to bang this drum? Will you still be defending him in 2015 on the basis of "what Shepherd did"? At what point does it become his responsibility seeing as there isn't a contract at the club that wasn't signed under Ashley? I'd agree that there comes a point where Shepherd's mistakes become irrelevant (even if they did set off a chain of catastrophic events). But I am not sure that pointing out that none of the contracts at the club were not signed by Ashley makes a whole lot of difference. He still inherited a mess and has to try and clean up that mess. This will be a popular post. It has to be said if Ashley left the club tomorrow he would leave it in a hell of a lot better condition than the day he took it on. Healthier balance sheet but short on playing staff of right quality. But why worry about squad ability, its only a football club. Your putting words in my mouth there, I do worry about the overall squad ability. Try not to take my post out of the context in which it was made. edit: or should I say, I have concerns. I don't worry about it. There are two aspects to the club. Finance, yes we are in a better position. Team, we are a poorer side than the one he bought. Fundamentally I'd want to be enthused by the football rather than the annual release of accounts. That remains to be seen, but I suspect you'll be proved wrong on that. Even without the two more signings that will probably happen, I think we're stronger now than we've been for some time. If you gave me the option of Kevin Nolan and Andy Carrol in a straight swap for Cabaye and Demba I'm afradi that I would say we were in a worse position... Time will tell?

Are you an Owl, or hawk? I hate them myself!

print is too small for my eyes, anyone brief us on it¿
-
Anyone care to comment on the players a bit... couldn't really give a tos* about the gimps doin the pitch invasion...
-
don't mind the older support for the away games but the young ones are generally a pain in the co**, can't take their drink and always looking for a stupid way to show off in front of their mates. doesn't apply to all of em' thank god....
-
We still need a striker and most likely a right back or central defender who's versatile. Injury to Ba and and simpson or one of the CBs and we're up the creek....
-
Does anybody think that he would stay if we went out and showed some ambition signing a 10m STRIKER and a classy right back (for example)?
-
Embargo? Not getting any more plutonium info? Shame...
-
At least Bielsa will play a more fluid attacking game than caparros. Can't wait to see Javi martinez with the shacklesoff "a la U21"...
-
If I were Bielsa I would target Xavi Alonso, followed by Arteta, then his brother Ander...
-
I will be underwhelmed if we stay as we are, we need a striker cos' if Demba breaks down we will be truly funcked, would also like to see another nº9 to compete with him.... I suppose we may be waiting to sell routledge, best shola and a couple of others as we have no money left from the Carrol sale after installing diamond studded water pipes and kryptonite heat producing burners...
-
Has ferdy been up to much over the last few days...Guufffaaaawww Gufffaaawwww!!
-
Very eloquently put! Completely agree. Puts the current regime into perspective (still waiting for a 7m+ striker)!!!

I wouldn't move to Man Utd, probably get violated by one of the many serial perverts they have lurking around the showers after training. **So glad to see that c*** Ferdinand not going to be able to make any of his "oh so virtuous" tweets any more after this one** http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3682061/Manchester-United-ace-Rio-Ferdinands-football-team-of-lovers-is-read-out-in-court.html
