I really do hate this set up now, selling our best players for a profit and then getting in younger players who might turn into stars just for them to be sold two to three years on when they actually fulfill that promise. We then pretend that we're bidding for potential stars (Gameiro/gervinho) and keep our hopes up... Somebody please bring back the days when we kept our star players and sold the shitty ones... Might just be that I'm really thick, but that does seem a more logical approach (football teams want to win games no)

If two of our most experienced prem players, biggest leaders on the pitch leave then we are truly funked! Ashley will not replace them with better players but just cheap freebies... Barton has finally started playing very good football after ifs and buts, Nolan is still a very constant player in our midfield even though he has flaws (fitness mobility), Guthrie smith are not up to his standard so why the hell aren't we signing them both?? Still waiting on an inkling of reality for the 35M we got from the carroll sale? So far we are just getting all the free signings, hope this escalates into some class 5-10m signings when we look at forwards...

Barca cheat week in week out! they do more ref baiting than any Man U team and get some outrageous decisions just cos' they're Barca. Can't stand them, add in to the mix that my father in law and brother in law are from opposite end of the country but still support Barca (glory hunter tw**s) and you have a team that here in spain is reviled as much as Man U at home and has a similar kind of supporter plus a kind of "scottish nacionalist" separation twang to them (they are known to be tight fisted tw**ts just like the scots also!!). I also want to point out that the Spanish think their league is light years ahead of ours and don't understand anything, and I mean ANYTHING, about the word Fair-play. Sly is the word I would use for these gypos, they would probably use "picardia" as they think it's acceptable... Rant over... Come on the manks (vomits!)...

Defoe is quite one dimensional for me also, doesn't offer enough to the team and his game is based on his pace and box prowess. He would be a great signing for 7 or 8 million but Spurs will probably want 12+ for him, a price that I think we could do much better for in the french or spanish leagues...

I would go all out to get Sturridge, certainly looks the business! Add Nzogbia and a decent replacement left back and we can start filling squad places with obscure youngsters.... 22 million plus a couple of million on youngsters...

TBH the prem/championship games I've been to in the UK recently (not many like)have always been decent chants which haven't crossed the line for me. I don't like racist or peedo chants and I am wellup for telling everyone to hide their granny when rooney plays if only for the comic intent. BUT, go to an England game and you will get to hear the more vindictive stuff, don't know what it is about them but you seem to get the worst of the worst, real scumbags at national games.

I think the reason he doesn't go so far up the field is because Jonas likes to hug the touchline and he doesn't really get that many chances to bomb through on the overlap. Baines is definitely better going forward than defending IMO.

Doyle is a mid table striker. he isn't bad but he's not great. If we really want to be going places then I would aim higher than him. If we want to trudge along where we are then let's go all out with a mega 1.8 million bid!

He is far better than baines and I would o as far to say that he is on a par with ashley cole seen as he's never reproduced his form froma few years ago... I would deffo have him in the 15M bracket. If we did get 15 million for him I wouldn't be so miffed, anything less and to an enlish club would seriuously P me off...

I also thought Guthrie had a very good game last night (on telly of course), worked his socks off..
