Barnes and tonali; both bad luck and unforeseen that it would unfold like it has. As Lewis Hall is a loan to buy, he should be playing more so that we can see if it is worth it. My own opinion is that it is too much money for an untested youngster.

As Phillips hasn´t played for city hardly, we can only base our opinions on his play at Leeds and for England. At Leeds he was the best player in that Bielsa team and was much more than a defensive midfielder, he was much more box to box and reminded me (don´t laugh) of a roy keane type player when he was on form. For england he was asked to alternate with Rice and to be honest they were both as good as each other in a more "defensive" set up. He would be a great signing and would improve our midfield, would also be the perfect 6 in my eyes as he has good technical ability as well as brawn. Bruno could play right as an 8 and Big Joe or little joe left. At 28 he is in his prime! 3-4 years more at least.

I used the word woke in a dissapproving manner. As such, expressed myself in a way that is considered unreasonable or extreme in today´s liberal/political/social climate... Not too hard to understand? Also used "jury is out", or to simplify for some; I am undecided on his defensive attributes. Hope that helped...

Surely he must see that Miggy is offering nothing at the moment and anyone, even Gordon on the right and Isak on the left, would be better than what we are seeing from him. Same for the LB situation, the way Tino has played there is no way he should be replaced by Burn unless it is for resting him (a 21 yr old...hmm)

I think Livramento would do better against Salah´s pace than Burn. Surely Eddie will see that (pls)

Our final ball was also stinkin today.

Miggy and big DB had very bad games as well. Thought we lost the ball far too easily and didn´t win hardly any 50/50 duels, they countered really well and big Chris had a purple day... Not much else to say. P.S. When Hall did come on the rest of the team seemed to want to pass it always to the opposite side he was on even if he was the better option i.e. they do not trust the kid

Hindsight is easy... Eddie probably just wanted a win to change the downward slide and risked the fatigued players doing so. Can't fault the bloke as no other prem team seems to have the injury woes we have. Get a few players back and one or two signings in Jan and we will be back in the top six in no time! 100% behind you Eddie!!!
