  1. Aye, bad worker thoough... bit of a nag apparently!
  2. I think the homesickness/head turned/sulky bugga would mean a return is very unlikely. He has turned out to be a very good accomplished player.
  3. Was last seen out making hay whilst the sun shone...
  4. Jesus! Sounds like we have the next Gascoigne according to their forum! Great experience for the lad, next level should be a championship team but with the right type of football, something similar to what we play here. Also like the fact that the link up with joey barton seems to be working, we can send more loanees to develop there...
  5. I hope we don´t bring him down, he seems quite emotional! I agree that just his presence keeps a couple of defenders occupied and further back i.e. not bring the ball forward. But it does get annoyin when he is just strolling around instead of at least half running...
  6. I have gotten tired of the Guardian and their "anonymous source" "Close Acquaintance" etc...etc.. ie. we are making this up and twisting opinion. I imagine most of the papers do this but the guardian is the worst culprit. Generally read the times and Independant for a contrasted view...
  7. Maxi needs to play against this lot. After destroying them earlier in the season they will be terrified if he is on the pitch...
  8. Gonna go back to a 353 for the scouse mackems: -------------------Dubs-------------------- ---Lascelles-------Schar---------Big Dan---- Wee man-----------Bruno-----------------Targett ----willock----------Big Joe---------ASM---- ----------------Big Chris------------
  9. No way he is coming back to the UK. Tarnished reputation behind the scenes. is also known as a bit of a prima donna at La Real...
  10. The rumours over here were that his entourage made advances to both Athletic and Sociedad to come and get him. Benitez didn´t like the fact that his head was elswhere, he didn´t wnt to put in the hard work and therefore didn´t play him. Only find out these titbits after the fact... His only interest in Newcastle was using us as a stepping stone, could have been homesickness but that shouldn´t stop you being professional and giving your all?
  11. Aye, but if you asked him to turn on the spot, the QE2 could do it faster...
  12. Would love Rudiger, what a cnut of a player (when he is on the other side). Kante would be a dream signing with brun and big jow either side of him
  13. Phillips as our holding midfielder, out team would then fit a 4141 perfectly: -----------------dubs/other.---------------- Trippier-------Schar/other-----Burn-----Target ---------------------phillips--------------------- Fraser/Other------Bruno------Big Joe------ASM ------------------Osimen/Haarland:)----------
  14. I reckon if we trounce everton on Thursday, it will be them and (pick: norwich/Burnley/watford), with watford looking slightly better on form.
  15. My last game before moving to Spain was 1997, Nufc Vs Barca in the champions league "Tino, there´s only one Tino...". Been supporting since 89-90, keegan and bobby were the best I have ever seen, after bobby left it has never lived up to expectations.
  16. He played allright yesterday. Reason he was on the right was that he only really had to play two easy passes; on to the wing back and the other back to dubs if needed. He struggles with the ball at his feet but we have known this for many years. He defends pretty well when he is up for it and always seems to give his best for us. Needs to be sold in the summer and upgrades brought in. Would imagine somebody will pay 10-12 million (he is english which ups it a bit).
  17. I think all of the above state what is clearly obvious to us all; he does not put in the hard yards when opposition has the ball (pressing, covering and tracking runners). Yes, he has a bit more license than others only because he is capable of pulling results out of a hat due to his magic moments. Against lesser opponents who do not pose such a threat, we can more or less carry his lack of defensive duties and depend upon his attacking attributes to help get us the win, but against top ten teams such as chelsea we all see how it makes a difference when an opposing full back can adavnce and pick his passes. Eddie must be seething when he sees a display like yesterday, he was only on for 30 minutes, so in my book he should have run harder than the rest of the team on the pitch... I also think he could well be sold in the summer if a large offer came in. I am also quite suspect of the last week or two´s "illnesses & injuries". I absolutely love the bloke and he has saved our skin a few times this season, but I also hate him at times when his attitude stinks. I should take the positives and be thankful for those crazy moments he gives us... but there is always the little bit of conscience that asks "imagine if he tracked back aswell? what a player he could be!"
  18. The elbow could have been red or yellow, this ref was not big enough to give it. The penalty decision was awful, VAR should have notified the ref for him to look again at it on screen. There does not seem to be any clear criteria for these decisions, it is a farce. As for the team, i though we did a greta job and it looked like a point for us with no problem. The goal was sublime; the pass and the control of the ball were top class. It did look like Burn slipped a little while turining and lost a quarter of a yard on haverz, unlucky as he was majestic again... All in all, we played well and should have had more from the game, VAR made sure that we diddn´t get our point.
  19. Rudiger is a beast and kante wouldnt be such a bad signing???
  20. Big Brentford win today pls!! Will help amintain the gap
  21. He still suffers from exaggerated backing off when someone gets near him, I was screaming at him to hold his ground a few times last night!!
  22. It is starting to smell a bit off like... First the niggles and off to France, then trains and doesn´t play, has 30 mins and then is ill??? Hmmmm?

    Jacob Murphy

I thought he was a youngster finding his feet, oh well... Yep, if he is 27 then he probably won´t make that much progress, but we always have the big Joe example to try and emulate...
