  1. I don't mind him losing the ball as long as it is in the final third, he needs to be taught when and when not to take the risks. He was good in the first half today and made the minimum requirement of covering passes and pressing (in his manner). The second half he was back to his defensive worst; strolling and not coordinating with his team mates when the press was triggered. A few times you could see the top five press hard and him let through his marks.
  2. Aye, Eddie has it covered! Need a big effort from a full house to get the boys back on track. Although loathe to say it, I would have krafty back instead of manquillo next game, Bruno from the start. ASM was good in spurts today especially first half, but still does my head in when the players around him are rushing to press and he is waddling (2nd half)...
  3. His work off the ball is phenomenal. He is what he is and helps the way we play ie high press/ capitalize on mistakes and knocking on the high ball... He is deffo not a mid/top of the table striker.
  4. For me manquillo, shelvey, big joe and fraser were all very poor today. The rest weren't at the races. Spurs had some very sharp passing and confidence on the ball, their front three were top class.
  5. He's playing well, actually giving the passes he needs to. Great little touch to draw the foul from kane
  6. I reckon we could pick up some great players at decent prices: let´s go back to city for Nathan Ake, he hasn´t played at all and is highly thought of. Or lloyd kelly from the championship, doubt either would be more than 20/25M... Christensen and rudiger at chelsea on frees, but doubt they would come! Fernandinho is out of contract in the summer, old, but a 100% upgrade on jonjo. Pascal Gross at brighton also out of contract, a good attacking midfielder. Jesse Lingard could be a great bet as long as he doesn´t want mental wages. Nekethia and origi out of contract in the summer for front line players.

    England

The major complaints i have with Southgate´s selections are: Pickford, he has had a pretty poor season so far and seems to have become much more error prone/lost confidence. Maguire, way out of form and I have never believed the hype about him. The only good attacking trait he had was bringing the ball 15-20 yards straight out of defence, the rest was average, oh... and the size of his swede! Shaw, was great at the euros but is struggling now. Sterling, hardly ever plays for city but is a cert for england??? As for rice and phillips, I also think there are games where one defensive pivot is enough, he needs to be a bit more positive as we have a lot of attacking talent. perhaps a 4-1-4-1
  8. Backbone of the team for next season: Trippier, Burn, Targett, Bruno, ASM and Big Joe. Depending on whether Eddie is comfy with ASM being an attacking outlet only... New: Goalkeeper, Centre forward, centre back, defensive midfielder, right and left wingers. Fighting for a place in the team: Dubs, Fraser, Willock, Manquillo, Calum, Murphy, Schar, Shelvey Rest can be fed to pigs or try and get some peanuts for them...
  9. Italian press saying we are after Dybala in the summer. Don´t know if it has been picked up over in UK? Not very realistic...
  10. Redondo was also a "one in three" player, you never knew who was going to turn up; the midfield ghost or the sublime attacker...
  11. I agree, mr consistency, a good premier league defender with a minimum 7 out of ten on offer every game. Good corner taker is a bonus!
  12. Just had a look at Burnley/Watford/Leeds/Everton games left and I reckon they can all look at a generous maximum of 12/13 points. We are nine points ahead so I reckon a win and a couple of draws will see us safe...
  13. Is the team better with or without him? With him for me! Aye, frustrating but I will put up with it for what he brings to the table
  14. There are zero complaints about what he offers us going forward and creating. We look very ordinary going forward when he isn´t on the pitch. But, It is possible that Eddie´s minimum requirement is that every player also runs the "hard yards" and carries out technical positioning and pressing. Which is fair enough. Last night for his first ten minutes he was covering pass lines much better, holding a defensive position when needed and pressing a little harder than usual, then he started to slow down. My own opinion is that for team morale and "fairness", the players that are putting in 110% each game are those that are keeping their places (see Krafth; runs a load and tries hard, but is gash = and keeps his place...), not sure I wholly agree but that is what it looks like.
  15. After a good night´s sleep, it was a collective error that lost us the game, probably due to the fact that we were complacent because they were so dobbins (this is what annoyed most), and also a bit of tiredness. We totally dominated the game up until that point to be fair... Can´t win them all.
  16. Dubs was badly positioned for their goal. Krafth was lower than average. Schar played well. Dan made one mistake and it cost us. Target was solid. The two joes played well but not up to previous highs. Bruno great 1st half, average 2nd. Fraser was neat and worked hard but didnt impact on it. Almiron ran about a lot but made little impact. Harrassed well... ASM didnt get going and murphy was ok. A 30 second lapse lost us the game. We never looked like losing all game tbh. Bad luck today, especially against those twats

    Joelinton

Doucoure gave him a better game today. He was good but not as great as has been.
  18. In the last 15 gordon had the ball and krafth was sprinting backward backing off at 100mph, honestly one of the worst defenders i have seen. Before that he must have had a positive pass percentage of about 30%
  19. Poor from him today. He hasnt been as bad in other games as people are making out
  20. Very poor for the goal. Dan burn got well out of position and should have brought him down, then the rest if the defense ball watching and not marking the runner. 1 minute of poor concentratiin and those scumbags score.
  21. 1% of 300 Billion = 3 Billion , I reckon we could stop monitoring Dirk kuyt and actually buy him!!
  22. would rather risk Joe Linton for this game and win it. if we win this one we are literally safe
  23. I am sure Eddie has a gameplan and we will attack them whilst making it tough for them. I would like to see Maximan and Fraser on the team sheet to phscologically get them on the back foot from the start and also Big Joe to get a bit of muscle into the midfield. Big Chris will hopefully have a better game. Bruno deffo starts since Jonjo is out, willock will also surely start. We should do this lot!
