Aye, tbf the comment was way out of touch with the 21st century and global world we live in.
-
if I was a centre back (i am... was!) I think I would pick the chance to go with arguably one of the world´s best ever defenders as a manager, and a not bad club to go along with it. Still will be in with a shout tho´, the money and project may be a pull for those with vision.

Could quite honestly see both of these go down this season, Everton have a hard run in and Leeds just can´t seem to win games even though they are playing good football. A couple of wins for us will transfer the pressure from us on to these lot...
-
Having looked at other teams fixtures, Everton and Leeds have a pretty tough part of the season from here in. Burnley, Norwich and Watfoird all have a good few winnables in their fixtures... our next two or three games are winnable on paper and would do us great to get that cushion and to push a couple of the teams above us into the pressure zone.
-
I think Bruno brings us more "cutting" passing ability and when up to speed properly will have much better pressing than Jonjo. Joe willock needs the type of pass Bruno plays... I can understand Eddie using the adage that "if it ain´t broke...", but I do think that Bruno could actually raise our game especially in ball possession and being able to drive forward.

What a lump of dogshit he is. Go three at the back second half. If not we will be down to ten...
-
West ham is our biggest test so far, they play well and have a good midfield, we will be luck to get a point I think. No more injuries and a good account of ourselves and I will be happy enough. Next game is far more important for me...

The way eddie has transformed the team and the performances is beyond what I imagined. Yes, the early results just did not click, a bit unlucky or just couldn´t completely shed the rot from previous regimes managers. He will 100% get the chance to develop the team and turn us into a more possession based team when we get better players (a la Guimares). he will have 2-3 years to establish us close to the top end of the prem, if he does well he will stay and hopefully set up a legacy. Seems a sound bloke as well to top it all off!!
-
manquillo has only really begun to play well this year for me. Previous to this he was always a bit lightweight it seemed and his decision making was pretty bad (mostly bringing ball out). He seems to make better decisions and is much more robust in his defending. Actually think he is a very good back up full back for Trippier, obviously a stepo down in level but good enough for the prem (unlike messers Krafth)
-
I would like to see that team, both murphy and fraser work hard so i would be more c9onfident with them than krafth and fraser... bring it on Eddie!!
-
Get in!!
-
No update on Manquillo? Getting very worried about the right back berth after having to endure (E) mile "away from the attacker" Krafth
-
To be honest I would have thought Lascelles will come in for this one to deal with the man-monster number nine they have. Also, Schar will be pretty sore I imagine as he took a right knock on saturday. I am praying manquillo is back as Krafth is very much a weak link in our team. I would go with: -------------------Dubs---------------------- Manq------Lascelles-------Burn-------Target ----Willock---------Bruno---------Joe------- Fraser------------Wood---------------ASM
-
Actually like the look of that more than having to play Krafth
-
The disallowed goal came from two mistakes from krafth; the first was the abominable pass/clearance he tried to make while clearing from a defensive situation and the second was his backing off/imitation defending. The team really suffered after manquillo and Trippier went off, really do not want either Dummet or Krafth near the team again. Championship level at best...

He was very good yesterday. I have been anxious for him to be replaced by bruno but there was no way Eddie was taking him off yesterday, he played a blinder. Actually reminded me of the Jonjo who was close to an england call up (many moons ago).
-
Worked his rear off yesterday, didn´t get going in an attacking sense but made a huge amount of recovery runs and track-backs in the second half. Don´t think he is droppable at the moment, bit like Shelvey in that regard, they have both upped their performances over the last few games... Long may it continue!!
-
Uuuufff!! Six weeks hurts...
-
Where did you get six weeks from? Nothing in the news about it so far??
-
Can´t blame eddie for staying with the same midfield, if, as it seems, bruno is going to occupy willock´s position, it will be hard for him to displace him. If willock gets a goal he will be on fire again, he is getting great late runs in on goal and it´s just a matter of time, probably needs bruno´s through balls to help him out. Shelvey had a very good game today, even tracked his runners, so i cab´t fault him at all.
-
Actually had Joe willock down as man of the match, he was great at breaking up play and striding upfield
-
Shame about manquillo, was playing well...
-
I am not convinced by Tielemans, a lot mor hype than substance for me. I reckon he has one good game in three, dissapears too much if it isn't going well. Upgrade on wa balldy tho'
