  1. Rather not be a champions league team than sell to them.
  2. Hall supposedly prefers midfield not sure why we didn’t stick him.
  3. We don’t need play a defensive midfielder to sit.
  4. Bit too close for a direct goal, famous last words.
  5. Longstaff you idiot, why you fouling there!
  6. Longstaff can’t deal with being pressed.
  7. They made some threats of legal action at the first meeting after the takeover through Charley if I remember correctly but gave been playing nice since. I don’t see why considering they keep getting slapped in the face by the cartel. I say challenge FFP legally, if the argument comes up regarding protecting football clubs then argue for a maximum spend cap that’s the same for all which is truly fair.
  8. Yes FFP is shit and there to stifle challengers but before we look at selling players shouldn’t we look to maximise other revenues first such as training ground sponsorship, training kit sponsorship , stadium naming rights, numerous small sponsorships I.e. official keffiyeh supplier. Also play exhibition matches in Saudi Arabia in the summer, pack out stadiums and receive a big fee.
  9. No room for sentimentality.
  10. Raphinia, yes please but I thought he was doing ok for Barca (stand to be corrected) unsure why they would sell.
  11. Championship players go for the fee being quoted, don’t think it’s a huge risk.
  12. Why the no. Isak and Wilson are pretty injury prone?
  13. Sponsor SJP now to get the money in and bump it up if/when a new stadium happens would be the solution. No point in waiting. Also I’d argue SJP is an iconic stadium and brands would want to be associated with it so deserves a premium.
  14. Phillips to us makes too much sense for all concerned. Player not getting regular football and Euro 2024 six months away so maybe wants to stay in the PL to showcase himself. Us with injuries, a suspended Tonali and a non existent midfield defensively in recent weeks. Hope this one can happen.
  15. Social media nonsense about players shagging escorts in some hotel I think.
  16. Barella, Dimarco, Thurman please, and throw in Lautaro as well.
  17. @TheBrownBottle From the Amazon documentary it looks like PIF have delegated day today operations to Stavely, Ghodoussi, and Reuben but they’re involved with strategic things like sponsorship etc. Don’t think not having a permanent PIF person on Tyneside is a sign of anything, with Teams and Zoom there’s no need to be physically present and it seemed like from the documentary they meet with them often. The regulatory landscape is different to when Abu Dhabi took over City, they can’t do the same so it’s has to be organic and slower but that’s not a sign of not truly intending to be the best. We’re just not going to break rules to get there. Agree they won’t make waves with a legal challenge but may support others with one. They’re consulting fans on future stadium plans which suggests they want to grow revenue and the only reason they would do that is to challenge, again they have to work within the regulatory framework that exists now. This will be a slow and steady rebuild within the rules and not the Big Bang we secretly may have wanted.
  18. Needs some January reinforcements at the start of the window and the likes of Barnes, Murphy, Big and Little Joe, and Lascelles back asap. Might still be able to salvage something. Howe needs to be pragmatic, we’re not beating ‘pool in our current form. Keep it tight at the back, don’t overcommit in attack by flooding forward, retain possession, play for the draw.
  19. If they don’t then stump up the money to do something about it or they’re going to get served more of the same for the rest of the season. We lucked out last year with the World Cup break so had rested players and few injuries.
