They have paid off the ref...
-
That should be a red card for the tackle + a yellow card for handball. How the fuck did the ref miss both?
-
who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me, hence asking. 0-0 would have been a fair result... Disappointing game by both sides, so you were lucky to only see the 20 min you did
-
Thank god that he is not in the england squad so he can focus only on us
-
I also thought he had an okay game. Not his greatest but certainly not as bad as people are making out. I agree that he had a great game. Think he was jogging back because Gouffran covered him on the left back..
-
Think Saylor played himself out of the team today, cost us 2 goals due to very bad marking. I hope Colo and Mapou starts together the next game, I really like that he is so calm and has very good pace which Colo, Taylor and Willo is lacking.
-
Steven Taylor needs to learn how to mark. Second time now...
-
He reminds me of Gerrard in his prime.
-
I hope we go out and tries to get 3-1 instead of defending the 2-1 lead.

Bernard, Elliot and Beresford were the 3 in my mind, feel free to disagree. I do agree outside of those 3, Enrique and Santon they have been terrible. Are you talking about Robbie Elliot(Robert James Elliot)?? As i remember he played mostly as a backup, he had maybe one or two seasons as a first choice left back. Even young Peter Ramage took his place at the end...

The Cisse/Ba problem was better than Cisse/Ameobi problem...

Think its time for a Pardew in thread soon? atm he is definitive out of it.....
-
He just seems more and more clueless... I actually feel sorry for the guy. He should just resign and keep his dignity...
-
Sure about that? Wouldn't be the first time he would take out Taylor instead of Williamson. And who are we gonna float our freekicks to if Williamson is there? LOL
-
First of all if you still have fairh in Pardew, which drug are u on? Think I need it aswell to see the light in the tunnel We did so well because we had better preparations. - We played our first team players in the pre-season so they were ready when the campaign started. - it looked like the team were more ready for whoever the oposition was and how they played - He actually played different formations - Pardew did less interviews, and focused more on the team(looks that way)
-
I hope llambias and ashley has start looking for a replacement. If he cant turn it around before january then sack pardew and get the replacement in.. We havent looked this bad since our relegation season...
-
Why are we defending with 11 players on their corners?!
-
If that is the case then it's still down to the manager because it happens so often that he should do something about it. Haven't we had quotes from Stone only this week about us hitting it long? Anybody reading some posts on here would think a manager has no responsibilities because you can find an excuse for everything. He’s the manager, he’s responsible for choosing incoming signings and he’s gone out of his way to tell us that he plays a part in this. It’s tough if that’s not the case because he’s tied himself into our transfer activity through the claims that he’s made on the subject. He’s responsible for coaching the players on a daily basis, the same players who hoof the ball as if it was a bomb ready to go off. He decides to concentrate on defence for 4 out of 5 days so is it any wonder that we aren’t very good at playing the ball and opening up the opposition when we rarely practice it? He’s responsible for picking the team, the same team that has looked like a middle to lower league side. The same team that changes twice a week when we play in Europe so it’s no wonder we’re disjointed if we practice for part of the week with one team for one game then another team for another game a couple of days later. Pardew is responsible for team morale, it’s up to him to get his players performing to the best of their ability, if he can’t then he’s not doing his job. He chooses the tactics, it his responsibility to pick the best players available to play against the opposition using the most likely tactics to get the most from each game, it’s not working yet he still goes with the same s*** time after time. He could have changed things around against Swansea because of Cisse not being available, it was the easy option but he didn’t make the most of it even though it had been recognised that we were being outnumbered in midfield. Something has been said to him even though he thinks our two can outnumber 3, how does that work? Why does it become a surprise that 3 people can walk the ball around 2? Pardew is responsible for our substitutions and more often than not he leaves me scratching my head. 2 out of 3 changes on Saturday made no sense at all and he's lost the plot if he thinks taking one player off needs another 3 players to move to allow that 1 player to come on. Pardew is the manager of the football club, he is responsible for managing the team and should be held to account when we are playing poorly and/or losing games. We’ve got some very good players who are proven quality and have been used to winning, I refuse to believe that what we see now is the limit of the ability of the players that Pardew has at his disposal. If people want to happily go along with thinking that what we have now is good enough, or as good as it can get with our current squad then that's up to them. Personally, I think we're well below par and the reason for that is fairly easy to see. It's coaching, tactics and players being unable to play a style of football which is both alien to them and shambolic. I doubt for one minute that any professional footballer would want to play the way we play on a regular basis. As a fan, I don’t want to have to see it. The players are not blameless in all this but I don't see them as the major problem.

What has happened with Pardew this year? Has he become to complacent after winning manager of the year and finish 5th? “We played 4-3-3. We were 4-3-3, Sammy was on the left-hand side and joining with Demba and I thought he did a good job." Isn't he saying that we had 2 up front with Sammy left and Demba right?

ffs. I rather loose big one match, than have another West Ham game... The way I see it, we have to have a good beating for Pardew to wake up and see that the way we are playing now doesn't work. At the moment he is deluded and thinks we are a top 4 team, just listen to his excuses: West Ham didn't let us play, injured players, tired players etc. Lets see why didn't West Ham let us play? Because they had 5 in midfield, we had 4 and tried to hoof the ball up to our strikers. Why are our midfield players tired? They are chasing the ball all match long, when we hoof it up to our strikers they have to sprint forward just not to see the ball. Defensive we have to chase 4 vs 5 for 90 min. Can some off the players become injured because they are exhausted? Maybe.. But its time Pardew tries something new because we have the players to play the ball. Wishing your own team to get beat man while you are sitting midtable is a joke. When potentially you could win the game and go three points behind 4th. Wake up man, we are playing poorly but we've been in a hell of a lot worse situations over the last few years. Jesus. So you hope we play the same football we have done this season, especially the last game against West Ham? - We have been playing crap all season, Pardew has stood by the 4-4-2 formation with Ba-Cisse, Ba-Ameobi, and Ameobi-Cisse, it hasn't worked out and its time to change it!(it was time to change it in 1999 when Ferguson did). We have been very lucky in the 3 games we have won, and some of the draws we have been lucky to get. I rather loose by many goals and get out played in one match, so he wakes up and does something about the tactics(atleast try something else), than loose with one goal and he blames lady luck etc... Yes we have been much worse a few years back, but we have also been much better. I want us to do something when the current tactics isn't working and try to improve our game, than do nothing and go back to the earlier years you refer to..
