Has anyone seen him play? And how good is he, and why doesnt Pardew rate him ?

We'll possibly end up buying 1 RB and 1 midfielder + selling 1-2 players. I want us against "top 4" to play like we did against Stoke, I think that was perhaps Obertan's best game so far for us. Defensive freekicks and corners take the strikers down and put our wingers up, almost like Arsenal played when they had Ljungberg and Pires on their wings, but they played with Henry also up front.

If Colo or Taylor(or both) are out then it might be time for Kadar to get a shot at first team football? Dont really know anything about him, but he cant be worse than Perch.

I think Pardew has got alot of things spot on and should have credit for that, but I must say that i don't agree with him that Ben Arfa is better in the number 10 role than as a winger. Imo Ben Arfa should have started on the wing today instead of Løvenkrands, he would get more space on the wing to make his magic than in the middle, also he can as a winger drift inside and shoot or get it into the box. It is also less dangerous when he looses the ball on the wing than in the middle of the field.

The ref standard in the Premier League is very poor imo, I bet they are getting paid off by the Americans, Arabs, Russians etc. I have always said that I was against video replays, but I think its time for it now because its so many silly mistakes beeing made. I have also said that referees should have a yellow and red card system(or some sort of point system) . Like making one bad decision they get for example a yellow card, 2 yellow cards a game they get automatic one match ban, a really bad decision they get 2-3 games.

Fairest post you've made. 100% my thoughts. I'd give Jonas at least a 7.5. Thought he was fantastic Fantastic? He got better as the game went on and played much better second half(not difficult considering he was abysmal first 15 mins or so) but seriously? Must agree with toonarmy. After Jonas signed a new contract he has been excellent, even his crosses seem to be much better.

Dont forget we have lost the 5 last times we have played home against them, 6 total in Premier League. It is only Man Utd that has a better record against us on our home ground. They are traveling here with alot of confidence after beating Arsenal, also Gamst Pedersen is back for them which will most likely be a positive addition. Salgado is also back, so i hope we put Obertan or Marveux on him tomorrow.

Think this one is going to be a difficult one to call. Blackburn is coming here with huge confidence after they scored 4 goals past Arsenal and won that game + won the midweek game. We had a good game vs Villa and are over the moon after we won at nottingham and some has even started saying we are going to win the cup, are we getting our 1st defeat of the season here and getting our feet down on earth? I know you don't want to hear this but they were unlucky not to score 3 goals and that would have given them the 3 points, on a normal day Bent would have scored easily on both. We dominated for most of the game.

Krul 7 - Looks better and better for every game, you can see his confident is growing. Simpson 7 - Kept Zoggy silent for most of the game, doesnt get much help defensively from Obertan and is strugling getting forward because of this S.Taylor 7 - Was good for most of the game, but he had some Bramble moments and was lucky Bent didnt score. Colo 7 - Think he was very shaky in the first half, it was his fault the goal. R.Taylor 5 - Its to big gap between Raylor and Jonas, we were lucky Villa hadnt watch our game against QPR and tried more against R.Taylor Obertan 6 - Need to do something about his confidence, it looks like he is going to cry everytime the camera is on him. Has the skill go become a star. Tiote 7 - Best game this season of him. Needs to stop dribbling infront of our back 4, and stop giving away the ball stupidly. Cabaye 9 - Very good game of him, looks like we really got a bargain here. Looking forward when he is getting his goal. Jonas 6 - Working very hard defensive, is strugling because he has no confident and understanding of R.Taylor. Ba 7 - Worked hard, hope he will start scoring soon. Like last season. Dont agree! He is still giving the ball away to much, and make those stupid dribbles in-front of our defenders and loses the ball because other teams has studied him. Against better teams like man utd mark my words we will be punished. The positive is that he was better than last game and he didnt do does stupid tackles that makes him get yellow cards.
