After the injury on Santon im 99.9% sure that Raylor will start on left back. If Villa is smart they put Agbonlahor on the right side and play everything through there like QPR did(4-5-1 system).

Arghhhhh, no! The club (NUFC) do not get paid anything directly relating to the advertisements, they have cos around 42k to put in place. NUFC covered this cost 42K, must be a joke? Cant be legal to do something like that or ? Since Ashley owns both, he could use club money to write 'f*** you Geordies, Cockney Rule OK' on the roof if he wanted to Wasn't thinking about the sign itself, thinking about having Newcastle to pay for it. Must be some legal part that is not allowed paying advertisement for another company. I feel like Ashley is being like a little kid on this one. It is like the more the fans sing shite towards him the more he tries to destroy our club. Cant see Ashley selling our club or walk away from it in the near future unless a crazy bid from some multi billionaire, so maybe it is time to make peace with Ashley? - Llambias and Pardew has told the press that its not easy to get Ashley to spend cash on Newcastle United as long as we keep being hostile against him and his people, is it really possible to make peace with him?

Can someone explain this for me, do we get paid to have Sportsdirect.com advertisment on our stadium? - If we get money, how much money do the club get?

I have a bad feeling about this one too. After watching the clueless performance against QPR I'm not being much optimistic here. My prediction is 1-0 to Aston Villa and a very very boring game and almost no chances. I don't dare to predict the full lineup against Villa, but i think Raylor and Ameobi will start if they are fit. 2011-04-10 Aston Villa - Newcastle 1 - 0 2009-05-24 Aston Villa - Newcastle 1 - 0 2008-02-09 Aston Villa - Newcastle 4 - 1 2006-08-27 Aston Villa - Newcastle 2 - 0 2006-02-11 Aston Villa - Newcastle 1 - 2

More like the first season when Souness was in charge. Playing like 10 games without loosing, creating no chances. Manager says were happy with the defence, and the chances will come bla bla bla....
-
That is the problem, we dont have any backup when Tiote is out of form, suspended or injured.

I understand why Pardew started with Raylor on the left side, but Pardew should have taken him off before half time. Pardew needs to grow a pair of balls because decisions like that will cost us points. Someone need to wake up Ameobi before matches because he was sleepwalking out there, did he even do anything in the first half? Our midfield was over runned, Best didnt get any help from ameobi when he had the ball. It is a no brainer that you need to sub. Ameobi when he is playing like that, IMO we should have put on another midfielder in the first half because we were over runned in that area. Krul 7 - A couple of good saves. Simpson 5 - doesnt seem to have a understanding with Obertan Saylor 8 - Very good and important save on the line. I dont think he is the new Einstein though(see yellowcard situation) Collo 8 - Very good Raylor 2 - Our weakest link, QPR tried to take advantage of it. Lucky for us their finishing wasnt there today. Jonas 6 - Had to cover to much for Raylor, looked tired at the end. Cabaye 6 - Being left to much in-between. Looks class on the ball, but need to get an understanding with Tiote Tiote 5 - He doesnt look like the player from last year. Has he got a new position/instrucs. Obertan 5 - Good first 20 min, then he just went out of the game Shola 3 - Why bother? Best 5 - Had some class touches Ba 5 - Looked hungry.

I have a bad feeling about this game.

Shearer without a doubt. If Rooney get over 260 Premier League goals, then we can start measuring them together.
-
Think its more that they need more strikers, before Bellamy signed they had just Carroll and Suarez(Think liverpool rate kuyt as a winger not a striker). Dalgleish know it is a long season so he needs player who can rotate, also Sturridge can play on the wing.
-
Was wondering that myself. According to some rumors Liverpool tried to get Sturridge in exchange for Meireles..

We had a paper thin squad last season, this season we still have a paper thin squad with players who doesn't have any PL experience and is more injuryproned but younger. We are still needing strikers like we have since we got back to the premiership again, cant really understand why some people are saying that this is a good transfer window...

Is Mike Ashley the worst person ever to have been associated with NUFC?
Begbie replied to AlanSkÃrare's topic in Football
We should really have a vote about who is/was the worst owner of the club: Ashley or Shepherd(+Hall) -
I genuinely don't know about this, quite possible that he wants to play LB even though he's right footed, no idea. could be wrong but read somewhere that he was a RW who was moved to LB because the team needed one at the time? As i've said i totally accept his position now is left back, but we could improve our team massively with simpson out and two natural sided attacking full backs who are comfortable on the ball. Santon's attacking play is too promising to waste on the 'wrong' side imo When he was younger he used to play RW, then he started later playing RB. When he first was called upon for Inter it was as a left back, and he made that his best position. In the later Mourinho days he was used various placed, def mid, right back and was strugling to make an impact. Source various news articles After watching youtube clips of him I think he seems like a very much right footed player: Always dribbling with the right foot, trying to hit the ball into the box with his rightfoot, it might be worth trying to play him on the right side but atm I am more than glad that we have a player who can play left back. And Ryan Taylor should get a lot of credit for the job he has done so far there.

think people are a little bit harsh on Simpson, he had a decent game. Didnt do much wrong, would say it was a 6.5 performance from him. Løvenkrands was the only one in the starting lineup that was shit imo. Think Tiote was also below pair today.
-
Just imagine if we had a striker
-
Started shit but have started to improve. Tiote isn't an attacking playmaker, he needs to do like last year just sit in front of the defenders. It looks as if many of our players isn't fit for the season yet. Løvenkrands and Best is not playing football, they are playing offside. Løvenkrands has been almost invisible, hope we put in Ameobi or Vuckic instead of him.
-
Did anyone see when he was alone and tried to head the ball? He missed it the first time, then it bounced back up again and he missed it in a second attempt to head.. Funny moment :-D

need the like button here... I totally agree with you

You stay out of this, you will never understand. If that was an Everton we-have-no-money-to-sign-anyone swipe, then I LOL'd, I proper did like. Were the Everton forums in meltdown when you got Carlo Nash as backup? Honestly, we just laughed. Which is what we should be doing. So would you prefer us to just go into the season with only Krul & Harper as our two senior keepers again? Given how many injuries Harper has picked up over the last year that wouldn't sit right with me one bit. How about just having Soderberg as our 3rd goalie? Tbh I rather see us getting a left back and a striker before a 3rd goalie.

"On the 17 Aug 2011, it was confirmed that Hitzlsperger was training with Tottenham Hotspur FC but it remained to be seen whether Tottenham were just allowing him to train with the club until he found a new club or whether they had plans for signing him. " According to Wikipedia

Agree with this, Moa has become a great player. Even though it hurts to want a søpla(Vålerengen) player , I bet he would flourish in our team. Depend on the price. He seems like a good player
-
Said it before and say it again: Hitzelsperger as squadplayer, he can play central midfield and left back.
