Think it's quite impressive he's continued to rake in appearances with their unlimited resources and discerning managers.
I suppose being in a defence-first set up for the majority of Abramovich's tenure has done him no harm.
I think I still want them relegated. I'd take that as a black mark against both their names.
Relegating a Pardew-managed Sunderland would be ideal though. Need the wheels to come off a bit quicker for Moyes though.
I'm also disappointed it happened this early but happy a) it happened at all b) it was just before Christmas c) it looks like he was given the treatment Hughton got by Ashley...... except he was unseated by one of Big Sam's much-vaunted powerpoint dossiers
Thinking about it more, it's quite annoying how quickly Parish sacked him compared to how long we had to endure his shitness - and despite more, if not majority, unrest amongst our fans than Palace's.
Fucking Ashley, man.
The FA are a ghastly shambolic organisation, but can't fault them in this instance and to do so just makes actual gripes against them (like the officiating vs Forest) seem puerile.
What a Christmas pud.
There's a Palace fan Ian W out there playing down the dismissive nature of these remarks as being a bit of Christmas levity which all manages indulge in Hopefully there are more Palace fans spitting blood having to listen to him "charming" the press
Broken record player, but I think looking at individuals is the wrong way to go. Danny Simpson won the league last year as part of the best defensive unit in the top flight. For me continuity of a team that knows each other and buys into the ethos of the team is paramount. If we are to adjust an element of the first team I'd much rather it was in January so they have time to fully bed in to Rafa's culture etc
