Scouse mackems for a reason.

More than that, I'd say it's about abandoning a short-term mentality. If he's an integral player in our promotion team, we'll likely be relegated the following season. If he's going to be guaranteed his place in the heart of midfield, as the local English lad who stuck through relegation and promotion, there's no chance we'll be able to build a team which can strike the right balance between being defensively sound and posing a credible threat to the opposition once we're back in the big time. It'll be more aimless running, conceded free kicks and yellow cards going one way... and shit technique, passing and vision going the other way.

Clever move to prevent the mass Newcastle fan suicide at the stadium gates. http://static.skynetblogs.be/media/32278/world_war_z_2013_pic03.gif

Barely a day on, and relegation second time around (in my lifetime, that is) feels like water off a duck's back. Actually quite positive about it. Ashley loses money, a decent chance to get rid of some absolute toss who I hate seeing in an NUFC shirt (even a Wonga one) and importantly a genuine opportunity to rebuild. I vividly remember why I wanted NUFC to get relegated not 3 months ago pre-Rafa. The reasons are still valid even if my conviction in the face of a Benitez miracle wavered. Benitez was a fantastic plaster, but I'd like to think we'll only go up again when we're ready. We 100% don't belong in the Premier League at the moment so building new foundations is for the best. Sticks in the throat a bit (especially as the Mackems stay up, but they're just gonna float at the bottom of the toilet bowl as everyone know) but look at all the team's who've gone up to the Premiership from the Championship since we were last promoted and done good and great things. Fun to win games again too. I'm confident it'll be a good ride back and when we are we'll dive in at the top end.

Assuming Rafa stays or a different decent manager is appointed I'm sure a season in the Championship will be a lot more enjoyable for our fans than it will be for Sunderland fans in the Premiership. Regularly scoring goals and winning games will be a nice change if it happens. The club desperately needed to go down last time, and so again. IMO. A losing, fragile mentality is ingrained in the club. Some absolute freeloading shite in the squad too (mainly Cisse).

He properly fucked up.

Gutted to be vindicated that he's shit. Better than though obviously, and likable.
-
There were better turds than others. And if we'd actually tried to score first half, who knows what that could have done psychologically for NUFC and SAFC. Disappointed tbh.
-
We are the 18th or 19th worst team in the league. Sunderland are a horrible poxy paedo-y club, but their team is much better than ours.
-
Well done for making a fist of it, no one could have done much better and I hope you stay on - but you made a right fucking hash of today Rafa.
-
They've been turd.

Someone execute that ginger shit

Fuck off Cisse. Fuck off Colback.

Same. The mackems look up for it though. Hopefully Chelsea's quality will prove telling though.

Our team has neither a striker who can hold the ball up nor a midfielder with the touch or vision to find space between Villa's defence and midfield and receive the ball. It's very much a defend well and hope for a Villa mistake approach. Can only hope Benitez knows the side is still mentally weak after years of being losers, and doesn't want the side to have to defend a 1-0 lead so early
-
Hate to say it but this is a Pardew performance. Villa couldn't be more down on their luck, and our stand-off tactics have empowered them. They had no foothold in this game until we carved one out of our arse for them to stick their foot in.
-
I like Brummie, but he can fuck off if we don't get 3 points. He guaranteed it.
-
We've got all the intensity of a plain jacket potato. Would never think we needed 3 points to make the last few weeks worth our while.
-
Are there any others? We need to press. Need some more urgency.
