(Why you got my vote in the recent awards)

Bit egocentric, but the value NUFC have got for some of its departed "gems" is piss poor compared to other sides in the league.

Good to have him back in the league just for this, really.

I loved the Three Rs. I'd take Ronaldo > Messi, Ronaldinho > Suarez and Rivaldo > Suarez

From the same era, did Franck Dumas manage 10 appearances for us? Don't think so but maybe. -

Marcelino is actually not a bad shout. -
Nah, that's the girl from Ipanema.

Bolasie isolated up front?

Can't remember any of my bets but most of what I thought would happen is happening with the exception of the Everton game.

Two clean sheets down the swanny.

Oh they've switched to their derby tactics, have they?

Chelsea will want revenge you feel. Going to be a nasty loss. Maybe not the worst bumming if it undermines Carver's credentials a bit more. Still hoping for a win but see a silver lining of the much more probable outcome.

Markovic might liven things up, but Sunderland will do their best impression of a parked bus at home as usual.

Same. I forgot he was still there until a month ago. Went off my radar completely.

Pardew generally likes to do it slowly and painfully, sucking the life out of the club. Perfect.
-
I want him to do nothing overtly bad as I want him to stay there, and not be available for hire here.

Not sure. Garde worked under similar conditions. I don't think the club would have a problem with an ambitious manager per force, but if that ambition required heavy financial backing, of course, there will be an issue. I think an increasing swathe of clubs operate like this now too. Pardew was an insanely big problem and I do truly believe he was deeply embedded in the regime and that it was his inability to deal with competing in multiple competitions which resulted in the club's policy on focusing exclusively on the league. His removal/replacement may signal the end of it. If a new manager can keep us in the league (it's difficult to fall out of with the dross in there) and bring in extra matchday/TV revenue for Ashley, without requiring extra transfer funds, I can't see it being a problem at the executive level. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but there's nothing to stop us becoming like Southampton are now - with the exception that their academy tends to produce better players.
