  1. Can hardly be blamed when the fret levels are this low and the sending off and his best players are sold and
  2. I suspect he's fluking it again. But these points (and for some stretches, even performances) are desperately needed after the abysmal start and dropped points against the garbage teams earlier in the season. If that keeps us up, I'll take it.
  3. When you have your best players sold out from under you, what else can you do but field a team of full backs?
  4. The old 'triple LB' formation. Tactical genius. Some in the Geordie Nation thought he wasn't good enough. How wrong they are about to be proven.
  5. If there was a big red button in front of you that could sack Pardew instantly, but appoint Sam Allardyce immediately as his successor, would you push it?
  6. Our fans are intimidating the players and his family. Scaring them into playing hoof ball. If anyone's resigning it should be the supporters.
  7. His self congratulatory bullshit about "that little bit of qwality" is just going to be unbearable.
  8. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29440064 "Handle the pressure" "Steely personality" "Tenacity" "Top bloke" Fuck off. What is the point of an article that just interviews Alan Pardew's friends about Alan Pardew? What is the editorial value in that? In no other profession do journalists frame desperately clinging on to your job despite an abject performance as heroic and determined.

  10. Not watching because staying at work seemed preferable. Are the fans making us lose again?
  11. I'm encouraged because I don't really think he cares at all about sacking Pardew if financially convenient (severance > relegation). But I'm also discouraged because I can't see any self-respecting potential manager wanting Mike Ashley as a boss.
  12. I'll be impressed if those grey Wonga shirts can go the full 120 minutes. They seem to start disintegrating after 10.
  13. 'Never going to happen' and 'three worse teams than us' were the same arguments in '08-09, almost up until the end. The club will be relegated if Pardew remains in charge. 10.
  14. I've been on a plane all day, so I'm unsure what sort of context is needed to think this is a good result.
  15. More likely than not at the moment.
  16. I hope he plays, I hope he scores, and he hope he works out a head butt celebration with David Meyler.

  18. It's impossible to feel any disappointment. If you are in the position of being ambivalent about dropping points if it forces Pardew closer to the door, then this Sky deadline farce is close to enjoyable.
  19. I'm awaiting the .co.uk interview tomorrow likening Steven Taylor's increased role in the squad to a new signing.
  20. He's the only reason we got a point out of that.
  21. Me too! I started to get annoyed towards the end of the second half that I woke up for it. Went back to bed afterwards. Last time I get up that early on a Saturday morning to watch Pardew ball. No point.
  22. Alan seems pleased with that. "We need to threaten the goal with goals."
