The only one that we can afford and attract. Unless some persuades Mario Gomez he was actually born in Newcastle and suddenly loses all sense of ambition. What you may have missed is that we have a manager who only knows how to play route 1 football, which we don't have the personnel for

    Chris Hughton

    11. Norwich City FC - 44 points - Chris Hughton 16. Newcastle Utd - 41 points - Alan Pardew Then lets add up how many international caps each team's starting eleven has and weight it by the country's FIFA ranking (lol). Seemed a shocking decision at the time, and with hindsight is still shocking to me right now. He may not be a world beater but he's better than what we have now.

Same service as ba in more games. Ba's all about turning scrap into goals and he's far better at it than Cisse. Cisse will get more goals with good service. is the correct answer. Let's get another striker through the door before selling one of our only goalscorers. If anything we need wide players who can contribute some goals as well not f***ing Jonas or Obertan, who apart from providing zero service, shoot like water pistols as well. Agree. The horrible inconvenient truth is that we've got most of the tools to use him well already. Gouffran providing the space like Ba did for him at the tail end of 2011-2012, Ben Arfa and Marveaux on the wings dragging full backs all over the place and forcing midfielders to press and create space and Cabaye NOT TIOTE playing the final balls from the middle of the park. I hate supporting Newcastle right now, in the Nolan/Carroll Hughton era, we played to our strengths and we gave good teams lots of problems. We played to our potential and if we got beat it was because we weren't good enough. Now we get beat all the time because Pardew isn't good enough. If we have to have Alan Pardew for the next 7 years, then sell Cisse now for any profit in the hope we get Carroll back. Because this is the only way we're going to win with him at the helm.
  4. Tell me about it. I've only just realized you were talking about Villa. Not deleting my previous posts for future comedy value.
  5. Great players aren't much use on the bench or playing utter s**** are they? they have to take some responsibility. If the manager has told Colocinni to pump long balls for half the season (2011-2012) to Demba Ba and Leon Best, and tells Cabaye and Tiote to stand on the toes of Steven Taylor while this happens, you have to realise how conflicted these players must be. Our game plan for all to see was: A) Give the ball to the opposition as quickly as possible and see what happens. B) Hopefully they will make a mistake and we can counter. C) See A. He's the worst manager we've had in my living memory (29).

Cisse isn't the problem by a long shot. One of the best players in our team.
  8. Spend £20 on giving Mourinho a 3-year deal and he'd have it paid back by the time he left
  9. Have always thought he'd be England no. 9 and should still be to this day, that £35m price tag among other consequential events (i.e. Rodgers, Kenny) was truly a heads-gone moment that has set his development back to before we kicked off our return to the Premier League. He's getting his confidence back under the radar at West Ham with his best mate keeping him in check, hope he rediscovers his form and that that happens to be with us ^_^

    Alan Pardew

Anyone praising for Pardew solely for the 5th placed finish never watched a game that season. We relied on magic from two players in the form of their lives for the first half and then the second half of the season respectively while all our tactics were set up to defend, defend, defend. Glossing over the fact that one of the most naturally gifted footballers since Gascoigne to pull on a black and white jersey was forced to play as a complete midfielder rather than a number 10. Now he's putting a guy who's fairly equivalent tactically to Yaya Toure up front alongside Cisse for most games that I've seen, regardless of where those formation sheets on Sky say he is/was playing, instead of Gouffran who would be the ideal workhorse, pacey foil making space that Cisse absolutely excels in. It really does not take a genius to figure out what our best system is with the players we have. For Pardew not to see it reaks of pompous, stubborn arrogant pride, 'seeing' things in training that no-one else can see and picking teams based on bibs vs jerseys where no tackling is allowed rather than in real pressure football matches which separate the men from the boys. His blinkered approach blinds him to all possible criticism, feedback and evaluation. Can you imagine at any point this season if he's sat down with the players and shown them videos of Tiote giving the ball away 10-15 times a match through dire simple passes, or Gutierrez blowing chunks to keep up with young pacey players. I can't, otherwise they might have actually tried to improve or change. People like to think our squad is good, depth-wise. Apart from up front, we've got one of the deepest squads I can remember. Of which our first 11 consists of 7-8 players who would be first choice or at least second for footballing countries such as France, Senegal, Holland across the whole park. We've got young, hungry players across every area on the pitch ready to be thrown on as subs, bursting with pride and desperate to make their mark. How you can get a squad of this quality to 17th in the Premier League with 2 games left and leaving some of us totally dejected? The man is a fraud and has been waiting for his big payday ever since he capitulated after signing that now infamous 8-year contract.

    Alan Pardew

Because he's a terrible manager living off a reputation built on a fluke season with Reading 300 years ago. Joe Kinnear Mk 2.

    Alan Pardew

So do I, if it wasn't for appointing Souness he could have been brilliant for us. At that stage in Shearer's career, when Kluivert played up front with Bellamy they were just on another planet to what Shearer could do, he was completely immobile.
  13. I really doubt he is - he's just doing what Pardew tells him. There's no way a player that can strike the ball that well for free kicks can be that bad at corners, you can either strike it well or you can't.

Terrible poll, no option for me. Makes a very big assumption.

We should have persuaded him when we had the chance to take him before Spurs got him. Best years are behind him now.

    Alan Pardew

No offence, but a great number of people who moan about Pardew do so because of his negative tactics and unattractive football - then you suggest we go out and appoint someone like Moyes? Do you watch Everton much? Only ever moaned about Pardew because of his CV, Track Record and Experience. All shocking for a club of our size.
  17. Sunderland fans need this result. PDC made sure the team knew that. AP was in his office having a wank or something instead.
  18. I want to hear the crowd after the whistle, got this streaming at work on mute. let me know
  19. 81st minute.. we need 2 goals.. put on Ameobi! .. 81st minute.. we need to not concede.. put on Ameobi! Clown.
  20. Don't want us to score. Want this to be a nail in the coffin for Pardew. He should never have had the job in the first place.
